The Heart Specialist is an extremely amusing romantic film that falls under the indie category. That is the reason many of us might not have heard about this film that was released back in 2006 at the Boston Film Festival. Luckily Twentieth Century Fox is giving us the opportunity to enjoy the film in high definition since it has been confirmed that the film will be released on Blu-ray.

Dennis Cooper is the writer, director and producer of the film, while the cast includes Wood Harris, Zoe Saldana, and Brian White.

The plot of the film is set in the south Florida hospital, revolving around the struggles first year medical students. Ray Howard (Brian J. White), on the other hand, is quite different. The sole purpose that this smooth talking Harvard Medical School graduate decides to work at the hospital as an intern is to catch up with his girlfriend (Mya). Unable to help himself, Ray succumbs to his womanizing habits and attempts to make a move on nurse Donna (Zoe Saldana), knowing that she is his supervisor, Dr. Sidney Zachary’s (Wood Harris) girlfriend. That is when everyone in the hospital decides that Ray must be taught a lesson and that he needs to understand true love in the right perspective.

This is definitely a sensible and hilarious film, packed with a whole lot of laughs and move watchers can grab the Blu-ray version of the film on the 4th of October. Along with the film itself, the Blu-ray disc will also include additional scenes
