The Redline Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack to be Released On November 14

A recent official announcement was made by Manga Home Entertainment, the independent British distributors that the 2009 auto racing anime, Redline will be released on Blu-ray. The anime film was directed by Takeshi Koike, who has previously taken part taken part in the directorial work of The Animatrix. The 14th of November has been confirmed as the date on which the Blu-ray and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack will be officially released.

It was also confirmed that a 20-page illustrated booklet will also be accompanying the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack but the special features that will be included in the disc have not yet been detailed. While the anime is originally in Japanese, the Blu-ray will include a subtitled version of the film too.

The plot of the film revolves around “Sweet” JP who pursues his lifelong dream of becoming a racer. With his cool retro-fashion style and his extremely customized vehicle and his habit of winning a considerable amount of cash at the end of each race, “Sweet” JP manages to build up a huge fan following. The fact that remains unknown to the people near JP is that he is a part of a mob that often pays him to lose races. Thus with its fast paced action, this film also has a lot of thrilling twists and turns.

For the general audience this film might not hold much of an appeal, but for Japanese anime and manage admirers, this anime film should definitely prove to be a treat. Thus, they can wait till November 14 when the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack of film will finally be released.
