Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe Cast in Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables

There had been numerous rumors going around for weeks that the role Fatine of the film adaptation of Les Miserables by Tom Hooper would be given to Anne Hathaway. It is not really surprising that as of now it has been confirmed that Anne Hathaway will indeed be staring in the film as Fatine.

In any case, it cannot be doubted that not only is Anne Hathaway an ideal choice to star in the lead role in Les Miserables, but is a rather safe choice as well. It seems that it is the classic stars that director Tom Hooper intends to cast in the film, rather than breakout stars. Thus, the role of the hero, Jean Valjean, has been taken up Hugh Jackman, which is yet another great choice apparently. In fact the same can be said about the role of the villainous Inspector Javert, which has been taken up by Russell Crowe.

Apart from the exceptional cast of the film, director Tom Hooper is also quite capable of making this film a marvelous one. We already have proof in the form of classic and traditional film The King’s Speech, which was released the previous year.

As of now it can be seen that the film already has quite a classic cast and we can expect to see several more well known stars cast in this film in the coming days. Based on a French novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables (The Miserable Ones), this film should certainly be worth watching and will not disappoint.
