Ninja Gaiden 3

This is the second time around for the ultra-violent, super-slick ninja game. It has been released for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 (PS3). Published by Tecmo and developed by Team Ninja, this game is an incredible sequel to an already great series.

It is a game played in the third-person as the hero, Ryu. He has his sword, shurikens and bow with arrows that improve as the game progresses. These weapons have unlimited ammo and items in the game aren’t a priority as in the previous game. Enemies also speak during their attack and cry in pain when injured. The developer did away with dismembering and decapitating.

New features of the game are save points and health, which were given by dragon statues have been replaced by a falcon that lands on Ryu’s hand. The Steel on Bone feature is a slow-motion action allowing the player to see Ryu cut through the enemies body. Also, he can use his kunai to attack enemies using the wall. Like a true ninja, he has the ability to stealthily sneak up and remove him in a quick motion. To kill certain enemies, Ryu’s cursed right arm glows red and is now called the grip of murder. His arm also glows red when a few kills in a row are performed.
