Hatfields and McCoys releasing on Blu-ray in July

Sony Entertainment is releasing on Blu-ray and DVD July 31st, 2012 is the History Channel’s Hatfields & McCoys. Airing during this years Memorial Day Weekend, the 3-part series is based on the post US Civial War family feud which went on for 28 years along the Tug Fork Tributary. It stars two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner as Anse ‘Devil’ Hatfield, and four-time Golden Globe nominee Bill Paxton as Randall McCoy in the epic, true tale of close friends turned enemies. The series, which is directed by Kevin Reynolds (Waterworld), has a teleplay by Ted Mann (TV’s “NYPD Blue”) and Ronald Parker (TV’s “Joan of Arc”) with the story by Bill Kerby and Ted Mann. The show debut with more that 13.9 million viewers, making it the #1 non-sports telecast in ad supported cable TV history.
