Hawkeye’s on-going series from Marvel is simply amazing

In August of this year, Marvel released the all-new comic series Hawkeye. It’s a solo look at Clint Black with a very impressive trio of the hottest talent in the comic world today. The writer, Matt Fraction, has worked on The Immortal Ironfist, Invincible Ironman and The Uncanny X-Men. He’s also done some consulting on the Ironman 2 film and the writing style is very enticing. The artist is David Aja who also worked on The Immortal Ironfist with Fraction. His artwork is very gritty with an anime or ninja style. The covers and larger pictures almost have this abstract look with plenty of white space but I wouldn’t call it unused. He has also done some work on Daredevil, a character like Hawkeye and Ironfist, that uses hand to hand fighting to get the job done. The colorist is Matt Hollingsworth, who most recently was nominated for an Eisner Award for Catwoman. The Hawkeye series is only on issue 4 so it’s still early to get into it before they all disappear.
