Flying out to Los Angeles to be reunited with his wife and his children for the Christmas holidays, his plan of surprising his wife during the Nakatomi Christmas party doesn’t go according to plan as a group of terrorists lead by Alan Rickman arrive and take the employees hostage and lock the building down. Slipping away unseen, John McClane has to wage a one man battle against the terrorist and rescue the hostages
