DC’s SUPERGIRL has chosen its lead actress for the series

Melissa Benoist has been cast as Kara in the upcoming SUPERGIRL TV series. She has most recently been seen on the FOX series GLEE.

The show has been reported to be more of a “reimagining” of the character and not follow the DC Comics exactly. SUPERGIRL will not fall under the same cannon as the theatrical films.
