Horror filmmaker Wes Craven passes away at age 76

Today, veteran horror filmmaker Wes Craven passed away. He was 76 and had brought such horror classics as A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, SCREAM, and THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. He had been battling with brain cancer for years now and today it claimed his life.

Craven made a lot of other horror films that are considered classics by the film community and they have a huge fan base. I know that for most, his films were the beginning of getting into the genre and he never stopped making the kinds of movies he loved. This is incredibly sad news and he will very much be missed.
