Spun from the existing world of ARROW and THE FLASH, The CW is filming the new series DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and they’ve released some new photos of the cast. The newest team members who have been revealed are Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Let’s start with Hawkgirl: They have made her iconic helmet in the likeness of the JUSTiCE LEAGUE UNLIMITED animated series. They got the sleekness of the helmet down with the two-tone coloring. As for the actual uniform, I like what they’ve done. I knew it was going to be leather and not resemble the classic look or coloring, but this is a good choice to keep with the tone of the universe.

Hawkman is very different from any incarnation of the character. His original uniform is basically boots, pants, and golden crossing straps for his wings. The new costume is dark leather like Hawkgirl’s, but it makes sure to show off Hawkman’s arms. His helmet has more of a feathered look to keep the spirit of the character. He will have his classic Thanagarian Mace that completes the look.

With a lot more to get the show fleshed out, I think that the show could be entertaining once it finds its stride.

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is currently filming and is slated to air in 2016 on The CW.
