Sides are taken in first CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR trailer

After much anticipation, the first trailer for Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is finally here. Premiering this past evening during JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, the trailer focusses on Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) as he breaks his alliance with Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) in order to protect his childhood friend, Bucky Barnes — the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

Anthony and Joe Russo, directors of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, return to the helm while the screenplay is penned by the returning duo of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER and THE WINTER SOLDIER). Alongside Evans, Downey, Jr., and Stan, the third Captain America solo film also stars Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Daniel Brühl, Martin Freeman, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, Marisa Tomei, and William Hurt. In addition to that massive cast, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will also feature the arrival of Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther and Tom Holland as Spider-Man.

CIVIL WAR begins May 6, 2016.
