On the heels of the upcoming Toy Fair this weekend, Lego has been kind enough to provide Hi-Def Ninja with a sneak peek of their 2016 line of Ninjago sets which will be releasing in March. Since we here at HDN are Ninjas, what better to usher in the new sets than to feature them? I have been given previews of six really nice sets. Ranging in size and price, there is a set for everyone.
Having had a chance to look them over, I have to say that my favorite so far seems to be Jay’s Elemental Dragon — a nice mid-size 350-piece set that won’t break the bank. I really like the color scheme, the overall design, and because Dragons. Of course, the Sky Pirates Misfortune’s Keep is certainly a very nice set. I’ll be very much looking forward to seeing these in person.
For more details about each set including pricing, piece counts, and some more detailed images, visit the Ninjago thread in the forum here.
Started in 2011, Ninjago focuses on the adventures of six Ninjas in the world of Ninjago, a realm inspired by Chinese and Japanese myths and culture, though set in the modern age. For more information on the line including products, the TV show (now in its fifth season), and the upcoming movie in 2017, visit the official Lego Ninjago website.
Sound off below or in our threads on which set you are most looking forward to.
UPDATE (2-15-16) Since I attended the Lego Press Event live pictures of these and many more sets are in the Lego Article from the Toy Fair here
I’ve never really took much notice of the Ninjago series before, but those look very cool! I especially like the vehicles… and obviously the ninja figs look awesome too. Thanks for sharing!
