The first trailer for DC’s SHAZAM! has been shown at SDCC!

SHAZAM! has been in the works since Dwayne Johnson was cast as The Black Atom and now DC has the trailer for the hero available now. Its the story of Billy Batson and how he is granted the powers of Shazam!

Tonally, this might be the closest to the source material than any movie in the DCEU. It was a good move to cast Zachary Levi as the hero because who better to play a kid in a superhero’s body. Director David F. Sandberg has done a lot of shorts and hour films so it will be interesting to see what he can do for the comic book movie genre. The movie also stars Mark Strong, Adam Brody, Dijon Hounsou, and Grace Fulton.

SHAZAM! Is slated to be released on April 5th, 2019!
