THE MOVIE:

A very unique film that is DEFINITELY worth a watch if you aren’t planning on blind buying it. A new age comedy that touches on today’s social issues that have been going on in the nation while at the same time adding some in depth ingenuity. Plenty of laughs with this one and an ode to the infamous scene from the Antman movies where a character speaks in place of the other character’s as the scene’s play. Perhaps not trying to copy, but I noticed the similarity. Overall a fun watch worth seeing if not owning. Interesting to see a film that can have police brutality as a back drop which generations to come will watch this 30 years from now and see a glimpse of truth in this to our times of today.

VIDEO QUALITY:

Presented in a 16×9 (1.85:1) frame in 1080p blu-ray; the film is quite explosive with lots of diverse scenes that allow many different colors to dawn your screen. From night time street scenes, Oakland culture and gritty scenes, their moving job that is transient, and even their friends uber car which from the inside out is loud. One scene I’d love to hear the Director’s or DP’s take on it as the front shot of the uber car closer to the beginning of the film has a purplish glow to it from the windshield in view. At one cut you can see the string led lights that are mounted in the car on the dash/windshield. It gives the shot a that aesthetic flair that I’m just very curious if that was done for the shot or just to tie in to that of the uber car driver’s swag. Great looking blu-ray in the video quality department you won’t be disappointed.

AUDIO QUALITY:

Coming at ya’ in Dolby Atmos this audio track is slammin’. Our main character is also a rapper among many other talents and the film has a great score and tracks laid within the film that Atmos lends its hand to wonderfully. Whether its background music or the impromptu rap scenes this immersive audio track is exceptionally well done.
