About the Artist:
I’m an artist from southern California. I am both influenced by popular culture and by the Mexican culture that I grew up with. I like to create a fusion between the 2 cultures with my work. It’s important for me for a bit of my heritage to show in my work so the Calaveras I create are an important representation of Mexican culture, amongst many other meanings that the Calaveras have for me.
Artist Statement:
My Calaveras originally grew from my inspiration from Jose Guadalupe Posada’s work. I really enjoyed his work and particularly the many skeletons that he created. My intent for the Batman designs was to create a modern take on his skeletons using my own artwork style, which fuses Mexican culture with American pop culture.

Artist Statement:
The idea behind the Thanos statue was pretty straightforward: Big, ape-like, and exaggerated. Our project had a very short deadline, and it was all accomplished through great communication, and timely input. After a few rough sketches, [Unruly Project Manager] Erik and I were able to hone in on the design. One thing that stands out, in my mind, was Erik saying, “Make the lower jaw BIGGER.” Next pass: “Bigger.” Again: “Bigger!” Ha! He was totally right, though. And it was fun to push the proportions.

My name is Joe DellaGatta, and I’m a freelance illustrator living in the Boston area. As a kid, video game, comic book, and cartoon art were a huge influence on me. (30+ years later, things haven’t changed.) I’m fortunate enough to work a full-time job outside of the art industry. This piece honors the Aztec God of Death Mictlantecuhtli. Carrying the Skull Serpent staff, he presides over the souls of the underworld. Originally released in 2010, Mictlan returns with a new variant produced by Unruly Industries.
About the Artist:
Jesse Hernandez (@UrbanAztec) is a visual artist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, most widely recognized for his street art murals, vinyl toys, and diverse Illustration work. His style is known as Urban Aztec, a combination of graffiti and ancient indigenous culture. I See Colours

Artist Statement:
This piece is actually something I created a long time ago, which to this day is probably still a favourite amongst people that follow my work and has taken a life of it’s own..my memory is kinda hazy but at the time of making this I liked the idea of taking this style of character and introducing colour in a surreal way, I guess my idea of a bad trip from the perspective of a 1940s cartoon character would be engulfed in colour!
About the Artist:
Long story short I’m a London based illustrator, hugely influenced by cartoons (turns out I lacked the patience to become an animator though). I’ve always had the urge to experiment with my own style and try different things, but at the end of the day it all comes back to cartoons and creating characters. As well as working full time at a creative agency I also dabble in selling my own merch and collaborating on various art projects outside of the office, chances are I’m always thinking of the next thing to draw while trying to juggle ten ideas at once…
