Den of Geek x Marvel Charity Gala at East Continental Gems

Last week Den of Geek, the pop culture and entertainment powerhouse, hosted a live collectibles auction for a very good cause – the First Responders Children’s Foundation. The evening was hosted by storyteller and pop-culture enthusiast Aaron Sagers and featured a slew of collectibles up for auction live through Den of Geek’s eBay channel.

But what good would an event be though without a little bit of flair and that’s where the folks at East Continental Gems (ECG) came in. Not only was the evening was hosted by the good folks at ECG but they also contributed some of their precious collectibles for the cause including a Micro Infinity Gem and a Jarvis Series Gem.

And precious collectibles they are. For those unfamiliar ECG is a fifth-generation luxury jeweler established in 1972. But what’s makes them so special is their recent collaboration with Marvel Studios to create stunning scale collectibles including a 1-of-1 Infinity Gauntlet featuring over 150 carats of precious stones worth over an estimated $25 million. Since then they have continued to use their expertise in the gemstone world to continue their collaboration with Marvel adding Loki’s Scepter, the Eye of Agamotto, and soon the Power Orb to their portfolio.

THE VAULT

Before I get into some of the amazing collectibles available for purchase at ECG one of the things that make’s them unique is that you can actually see in person some of the masterpiece items they’ve crafted. While it does require an appointment the folks at ECG will let you get mostly up close and see them. Currently there are only three items in the vault; Loki’s Scepter, the Eye of Agamotto, and the Infinity Gauntlet however ECG does plan on unveiling the Power Orb in early 2025. What also makes these pieces so special outside of the prominence of gems used is the attention to detail  in following the specs as close as possible to create a near identical replica of the artifacts.

An Introduction to The Vault by Adam Mirzoeff

LOKI SCEPTER

The most recent piece in their Marvel collaboration the 1-of-1 Loki Scepter was crafted in partnership with Spirit Ironworks and features premium materials to bring make the scepter look as authentic as possible. The centerpiece of the scepter lies with a 20.26-carat yellow diamond encased in hand-blown blue glass. The scepter also has heft to it weighing in at 35 pounds but don’t worry the blades have been blunted on this stunning piece!

EYE OF AGAMOTTO

Next up from EGC is a 1-of-1 Dr. Strange’s Eye of Agamotto. Featuring a stunning 23.5-carat Colombian emerald the Eye of Agamotto is truly a sight to behold. Every detail was meticulously crafted down to the leather used for the strap and the braiding of it. Check out ECG’s Instagram page to see plenty of shots of Mike Tyson rocking the Eye of Agamotto.

INFINITY GAUNTLET

Valued at $25 million the ECG 1-of-1 Marvel Infinity Gauntlet is truly a work of art. Each of the six gems were meticulously chosen not just for rarity but color, style, and size and make up over 150-carats truly making the Infinity Gauntlet a masterpiece to behold in person. ECG has requested no photography of the Gauntlet in the Vault so please do head over to their instagram which showcases the Gauntlet at many different angles. This is also really great as the Gauntlet currently sits in a 5,000 pound safe and for insurance reasons is on a non-rotating pedestal making seeing the time stone a bit difficult in person.

ECG’a collaboration with Marvel has also allowed them to create a line of collectible merchandise focused around the infinity stones. The line currently features a few products including:

The Micro Infinity Gem Series featuring a single hand-cut gemstones perfectly set in a 1-inch brass Gauntlet which are limited to 200 of each stone and are $200 each and can be bought as a set. What’s also great about these is there is an eyelet to allow a chain to pass through so the Gauntlet can be worn as a necklace.

The Jarvis Series Infinity Gems features carefully cut and polished gems are limited to 500 of each stone and cost $250 each;

The Genesis Series of Infinity Stones, for a more distinguished collector, features much more rare gems of higher quality and cut and limited to 300 of each stone and starting at $1,750. Additionally the Jarvis Series is available as a set with an option of a few different display options; which can be seen on their online store.

For the ultimate collector there are miniature Infinity Gauntlets and replica Eye of Agamotto’s that have precious gemstones set into them, though the price tag is not for the faint of heart For 2025 ECG plans to expand their line into more jewelry focus items as well. Also upcoming is a miniature set of Infinity Stones at pretty much the same size as the Jarvis Series but featuring all six stones as well a Loki’s Scepter focused gem.
