GHOST IN THE SHELL
Limited Steelbook Packaging with Exclusive Mondo artwork
coming to Blu-ray™ + Digital HD March 14, 2017

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – (December 13, 2016) The groundbreaking anime film Ghost in the Shell arrives on Blu-ray™ + Digital HD with limited-edition Mondo key art in collectible Steelbook packaging from Anchor Bay Entertainment on March 14, 2017. The groundbreaking anime celebrated the 25th anniversary of the original Manga in 2014. Directed by legendary anime director Mamoru Oshii, Ghost in the Shell questions human existence in the fast-paced world of the information age, this award-winning, cyber-tech thriller has established itself as one of the leading Japanese animation films of all time.

A female cybernetic government agent, Major Motoko Kusanagi, and the Internal Bureau of Investigations are hot on the trail of “The Puppet Master,” a mysterious and threatening computer virus capable of infiltrating human hosts. Together, with her fellow agents from Section 9, they embark on a high-tech race against time to capture the omnipresent entity. Ghost in the Shell took the world by storm in the mid-90’s, exhibiting a new dimension of anime with unprecedented, mesmerizing cinematic expression. Seamlessly merging traditional animation with the latest computer graphic imagery, this stunning sci-fi spectacle challenged the boundaries of mainstream animation with detailed artistic expression and a uniquely intelligent story line. Veteran director Mamoru Oshii skillfully creates the ultimate anime experience in this futuristic masterpiece based on the groundbreaking comic book by Masamune Shirow.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Season 1 and Season 2 previously only available on DVD will be arriving on Blu-ray™ for the first time on February 21, 2017. Ghost in the Shell will be available on Blu-ray™ from Anchor Bay Entertainment on March 14, 2017 for the suggested retail price of $34.99.

shoot. Wasn't expecting this one at all. It's probably going to sell better than some of the other Mondo's since it comes out two weeks before the new movie. Not sure if I like this one or the Martin Ansin poster better, though. They're both pretty great.

That looks awesome! So glad to see another Mondo X release... shame it's for a film I'm not a big fan of, but that's not stopped me from picking them up before, so you can count me in! :D

Oh that's awesome, cheers for the tag.

But i was hoping if mondo x line did continue it would be world wide and not just limited to USA

Shipping is too crazy for the GBs and part of the reason why I don't own so many of them

Still trying to get terminator, total recall, boyhood, Rambo and Shaun of the deed for a decent price and I'm prob out of luck with ex MACHINA and pans labryinth

If Andy's post about this receiving a bigger print run is anything to go by, then it's probably safe to hold out for a price drop on this one.

Sorry to hear you missed out on some others mate... that's why I always buy these at full price, because I really don't want to risk missing any as they're easily my favourite line of steelbooks. Hope you manage to find the ones you need sooner or later!

Ah I didn't see that, that's cool then

I'm always on the hunt for them mate constantly bidding on eBay but I have a set price in my mind especially when most drop so cheap on sales in the US. I've only paid full price for drive and boondock saints. Others I've won on bids or buy now for decent prices (I only own 7 of the mondo line and I love them too but shipping puts me off) - dredds another I need too, also don't own highlander or Flash Gordon but I'm not huge on those 2 films. Which is why I'd prefer to get them for a decent price

Labryinth was the only one I owned and sent back lol

Obviously own other Mondos like true detective and Enders game for example

I'll keep an eye on the updates then. Cheers
