Yes, I'm in Germany. Most of the Zavvi orders are sent from Guernsey, which is not part of the EU and therefore falls under German import regulations.

Zavvi don't list VAT is paid on orders if you are based outside the UK
Vat is listed as €0.00 on packaging except UK customers who have Vat listed in their order and packaging

German customs pick up on this
Zavvi use the Channel Islands to avoid VAT collection for customers based outside the UK


I though never got hit by customs for VAT payment with Zavvi orders but is possible to happen at any stage

I was charged £2.33 for an order back in September and didn't notice. Still not a bad price for shipping. Trying to decide whether to order it. Not feeling that price.
