Nominees will be posted in this thread after announcement.

Per Oscars site:

Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards® will be announced by the show’s host, Seth MacFarlane, and actress Emma Stone on Thursday, January 10. This will be the first time since 1972 that an Oscar show host has participated in the nominations announcement.
MacFarlane and Stone will unveil the nominations at a 5:30 a.m., PT news conference at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives from around the world will be gathered.

Since the first nominations announcement in 1964, the Academy president has been joined by one or more co-announcers at the event. This year the Academy will break with tradition when MacFarlane, who was named Oscar show host in October, joins Stone on Oscar nominations morning. Charlton Heston (1972) was the only other show host to participate in the nominations announcement.
Stone starred in the 2011 Best Picture nominee “The Help” and the summer release “The Amazing Spider-Man.” Other film credits include “Superbad,” “Zombieland,” “Easy A” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love.” In addition she can be seen in “Gangster Squad” later this month, as well as in “The Croods,” due out in March.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be presented on Oscar Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.

I think they've got it wrong so may times I don't really care much about what/who wins any more, but I still like to see the nominations and watch it lol

I always love to see the nominate and winners... of course, Hollywood lives in a fantasy world that only them can understand.... 'Shakespeare in Love' wins Best Movie over 'Saving Private Ryan' as my main exemple... :naughty:

Yep, they've made some ridiculous choices in their history, Drum's post highlighting one of them, but I just saw the winner's of the People's Choice Awards and I have to say I disagree with the people lol I think Robert Downey Jr winning might have been the only one I didn't roll my eyes at.

That is it lost ALL interest as The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey's

The Lonely Mountain Neil Finn NOT NOMINATED it deserved a chance may not have won but deserved a mention.

Pleased for Skyfall Adele even if it wasn't a theme song it is bloody good in its own right.

P.S Only did Bond when Dalton was at the helm The Best Bond in my humble opinion.

I didn't even know a foreign language film could be nominated for Best Picture, makes The Artist winning even more baffling. Would love to see Paranorman winning best animated though, thought it was great :)

For me it's Lincoln, Daniel Day Lewis was incredible in the film plus I think Spielberg really did turn out a masterpiece with this.
