I feel like a broken record now so Ill try not to repeat myself, and, at this point I don't even know what to say anymore with this re-release crap. Oh wait its a regional exclusive thats the excuse, right?

I wish an excuse was a material item at that point so I could shove it up someone's you know what, lol.

I buy steels for the art and movie now, too much a gamble to know whats rare besides a few obvious ones. (Steels with extra stuff/gifts etc. - FNAC exclusives w bonus' , blufans, etc.)

And premium finish "underdogs" like Death Race, 1408 etc.

Plus they've obviously seen the demand and thought it would be a good idea to release it elsewhere

wait, isn't Scanovo "only" the producer of the Steelbook cases?
They love that they have to produce a lot of these... and honestly think they are triggered by the Studios, or am i wrong here Wreck???

For them it is a good thing UNTIL the "hype" for SBs wil go down! With the direction now when NOTHING is exclusive anymore!!!
Well german writing on covers (or any other foreign language) if printed on makes a little unique...
So the 4000 LIMITED print run was only (guaranteed) for the UK!?!

that su... big time IMO!!

But you are absolutely right, you can't win any battle alone... At least BIG, BIG THANKS for trying it all the time :scat:
And yes, just go for Movies you like... open the Steelbooks, enjoy! They will not be much more special than amaray cases soon...
But still better looking ;)

This is a great big ploy to suck in thousands more collectors...I really cannot see why I will bother picking this up just because of the "rare" factor, when it is looking the same as the play.com ones...I believe we are witnessing the moment where steelbooks become mass market, no longer an obsession, passion, hobby (like most of us have at this moment)...

Its all a consequence of people pushing for more from publishers and studios. Then another, and another manufacturing plant is built. Now there are so many they will mass produce, the upside is unit prices are chaeper for the consumer. Then the real collectors leave the scene. Im sorry but certain members from this site must take some responsibility for what has already happened. Im just happy i qas part of it when there were exclusives. I have a few needles from the giant haystack being formed. Phew

I've learnt my lesson well, not believe in what so call "exclusive".
So, I'll get only those I really like and for special release or bonus.
Extra free booklet, free medallion or numbered tag.
Other than that, don't trust those "exclusive" word they put on it.
It has been mis-use.

The word "exclusive" is definitely dead with all these releases!
I really thought that the "Play.com Fox exclusives" would be a real exclusivity...
