Nothing wrong with the transfer - DV source material can't be magically upgraded to a magnificent looking HD master. It looks "as intended".

The decision to film on DV (using Canon XL1 cameras) was both an aesthetic and a logistic choice. Aesthetically, Danny Boyle felt that the harshness of the DV imagery suited the post-apocalyptic urban landscape and the grittiness of the film in general.

Urgh pass. Decent movie, but far too many releases from Zavvi right now.

Could not agree more.. That's the end of September and beginning of October with a lot of releases,which is kool for collectors but its just to much outlay for me I already have 12 ordered... Shame as it would be nice maybe there will be some around end of November.. Plus we still have the Indy films due out sometime this year

I'll wait and see if they ever release 28 Weeks Later on steelbook (my favorite of the two). Then I'll have to get both. For now I'm happy with the UK set that includes both films.

I've been begging for this since the day I started collecting, so happy to see it finally get the steel treatment. I'm not going to get my hopes up with glossy finish etc., but that would definitely be the icing on the cake for me.

Very happy they more or less kept to the poster and original artwork for this. Different artwork just for the sake of being different has ruined a lot of releases imo.

Movie itself is going to look bloody awful on Blu-ray, but I love it and it's a steelbook, so it's a no-brainer for me. Plus I don't even have the DVD anymore.
