Does anyone know if all the latest Polarized 3D Blu Ray Disc movies, have pairs of new Polarized 3D Glasses, that come with them ? :wtf: . I know that all the old Anagliphic 3D Blu Ray Disc movies are not being made anymore, that came with the old Anaglphic 3D Glasses, so i was wondering if all the new Polarized 3D Blu Ray Disc movies, have pairs of Polarized 3D Glasses that come with them, like how the old Anagliphic 3D Blu Ray Disc movies had the Anagliphic 3D Glasses that came with them before. Anyone know anything about that ? :wtf: .

No, those glasses are not included with the movies. You need to buy those glasses depending on your TV brand.

Here's my previous answer.

Well, i had just recently found a pair of 3D Glasses on Amazon.com, that are Polarized 3D Glasses, with like dark gray or black lenses, that i thought might work, like how active 3D sutter glasses would work, just with out a on and off switch, which is what the difference would be between those two types of 3D glasses, when playing the 3D Blu Ray, i would think that it plays it in 3D, and then that then that way, the glasses would work automatically in 3D, whether if they were 3D shutter glasses or 3D polarized glasses. That's what i was thinking before, about how they could work possibly, if its possible, because the 3D Blu Ray movies themselves, "i would think" would purposely play in 3D, so that the 3D Glasses, whether if they are Shutter or Polarized 3D Glasses, would be needed to see it 3D.

The thing is, the 3d the movie was recorded in, is a different 3d tech than the old one. Which is why the new glasses are required cause they work hand in hand with that tech.

Kind of like trying to stick a blu-ray in a dvd player hoping the movie will still play but as a dvd. If that makes sense.

3d can be confusing cause their was even an upgraded 3d inbetween the time of old 3d and new 3d.

Just know you could buy a Blu-ray 3d and it still work as regular blu-ray, and could upgrade to the other tech later on. Just like with Killzone 3 supporting 3d. If you dont have 3d then you see it regular.

Here is the scientific reason why.

The Blu-ray 3D specification calls for encoding 3D video using the "Stereo High" profile defined by Multiview Video Coding (MVC), an extension to the ITU-T H.264 Advanced Video Coding (AVC) codec currently supported by all Blu-ray Disc players. MPEG4-MVC compresses both left and right eye views with a typical 50% overhead compared to equivalent 2D content, and can provide full 1080p resolution backward compatibility with current 2D Blu-ray Disc players."[155] This means the MVC (3D) stream is backward compatible with H.264/AVC (2D) stream, allowing older 2D devices and software to decode stereoscopic video streams, ignoring additional information for the second view.
