99 CENT blu-rays at Blockbuster tomorrow (May 30) only! - YMMV

The sale is only at certain stores, JP-it's been reported that some Blockbusters are getting boxes of BD's to include in this sale, and others not. Totally YMMV.

Hi JP-yes, at this point it's very random. Since there are stores closing, as well, there is a lot of "reshuffling" going on. I hope you're able to grab some deals soon!:)

Hey DB... I finally got 10 BD's for $10. :)

* District 9

* Girl who played with Fire

* Superman Doomsday (for my daughter)

* Christmas Carol (for my daughter)

* Planet 51 (for my daughter)

* Piranha (NOT for my daughter ;) )

* Case 39

* Vacancy

* JCVD

* Couples Retreat (for the wonderful wife)

Just went back to get more and they have them marked up to $2.99... :wtf:?! Couldn't even have the things on sale all day? Hopefully they go back down...

I think my total count is 121 for the day.

glad I saw this , I'm in Houston right now and went to one store and they said only one store in their district was doing it so went there and got 31 blu-rays for $31 + some tax hahaha. Sweeeeet, now time to order some blank blu-ray cases to pull out the inserts and make them look perfect.

The lady at this store said they would be 99cents until they were all gone ....... so I hope that is still true tomorrow Jef as I'm going to call and see if any stores on the side of town I'm now on (was on south side earlier, now spending the night on north side) still has this going.

JP you got some good titles, they had D9 but it was in the 5 for 20 pile and not the 99 cent pile. Seems like you may have lucked up and had everything in one pile?

Wreck --

The store in my area was pretty lame. It was 5pm and they still were only thru about 1/3 of the way, unpacking their boxes. I stood around waiting for a good 15 mins talking to a guy (which feels like 3 hours when you're just standing their like a goon) as they SLOWLY brought out handfuls of BD's to the table. Then I finally just walked up to their main desk and asked them some random BD names to see if they had any... and District 9 was the only one they had (the main movies I wanted were Zombieland and Salt).

But anyway... to your actual question... District 9 was in fact part of the .99 cent'ers... The clerk explained that these discs were from closing stores, so that's why they're kept completely separate from the 5 for $20 deal, even if they're the same title.

come to think of it ........ I had so many that they ended up just scanning a barcode for all of them ... guess I could have thrown some of those in ...... but I'm not that evil. Or am I?

At my store ALL the ones with the little white square sticker on the back were 99 cent or will be soon. I hope they move ours back down to 99 cent. There were a few titles I wanted when I went back and they were $2.99...
