Info regarding missing Audio Track at Flicker Alley site and Disc Replacement Form:

*Confirmed: No need to send back the original disc*

Dear Flicker Alley Customer: Please note that one of the bonus feature audio options on the Blu-ray disc of our limited SteelBook edition -- A Trip to the Moon in B&W Audio Option 1, featuring Robert Israel's orchestral score and the original English narration written by Georges Melies -- is currently missing its narration track and only features Robert Israel's orchestral score. As such, all Blu-ray discs shipped at this time will be with this orchestral score only configuration.

This only affects the Blu-ray disc of this set. The DVD disc in this publication contains the correct audio for this bonus feature.

We are currently in the process of remastering and remanufacturing a Blu-ray disc which will have the correct audio option for this particular bonus feature, and will make it available by request to customers who fill out our on-line Disc Replacement Form below.

Please complete the following form with as much of your original order information as possible (to verify your purchase) and we will contact you once the replacement discs have been manufactured and are ready for shipment.

Folks - we're actively investigating some ideas for International forum members. Give us a few days to get back to you and see if we can do a coordinated effort and / or group buy of some kind.

So, in the interim, please sit tight and watch this thread for updates. Let's keep this thread free of steelbook requests.

Thank you.

Ok guys ... here is the info you wanted. Obviously the watermarks on this image would not appear on the steelbook. ;)

This is the final artwork for the steelbook. Classy how they were still able to implement the iconic original moon art on the left.

Oh and ........... was able to announce, it's limited to 4k!

Well I got an order in this is the first time I ordered a steelbook just for the artwork is the movie itself any good for those that have seen it and what is it about. It sucks they charge you right away instead of when the movie ships.

While the red may look dull in the art picture. I think it will look fantastic on the steel itself. We're talking red and black. :D And Red usually looks fantastic on steels. Very few red steels.

I mean I already ordered 2 copies, so you'll not hear tons of whining and I think it looks very good, but the red does nothing for me.

Is there inside artwork?

SMASHING PUMPKINS - TONIGHT TONIGHT is all you need to know.

They should include that as well. :D

I cant wait to get my hands on this one, and $10 shipping to the UK seems realsonable to me, but i have no exerience of US mail. What is Media Mail?

You cant get media mail outside the USA - so yours wouldnt be shipped that way. fyi. I am working with the supplier in regards to tips on shipping methods ... So we're hoping to make this a pleasant transaction for all our international friends. We'll report back in this thread when able.

Yeah you tell them...cause they need to be prepared for the hoardes of returns if these are not shipped properly.

Just watched this on YouTube with music accompaniment a voice-over from someone reading the story that is being acted out. Every body movement is greatly exaggerated, to make up for the lack of talking. If they could use computers to fill in movements between frames, this thing may be halfway better. All in all, The Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight Tonight" is more enjoyable to watch than this.

Fyi,

I asked them about artwork and shipping info. This is the reply I recieved:

Dear Shane,

Thanks for your interest in A TRIP TO THE MOON. Given the nature of the case contents, there is no artwork inside the case to accommodate for the disc packaging and enclosed booklet (with text and artwork), which we include with all of our publications.

We are looking into special packaging options for this release so that they will be well-protected and arrive undamaged.

Kind Regards,

Taz Morgan

I take it that means no interior artwork?
