Info regarding missing Audio Track at Flicker Alley site and Disc Replacement Form:

*Confirmed: No need to send back the original disc*

Dear Flicker Alley Customer: Please note that one of the bonus feature audio options on the Blu-ray disc of our limited SteelBook edition -- A Trip to the Moon in B&W Audio Option 1, featuring Robert Israel's orchestral score and the original English narration written by Georges Melies -- is currently missing its narration track and only features Robert Israel's orchestral score. As such, all Blu-ray discs shipped at this time will be with this orchestral score only configuration.

This only affects the Blu-ray disc of this set. The DVD disc in this publication contains the correct audio for this bonus feature.

We are currently in the process of remastering and remanufacturing a Blu-ray disc which will have the correct audio option for this particular bonus feature, and will make it available by request to customers who fill out our on-line Disc Replacement Form below.

Please complete the following form with as much of your original order information as possible (to verify your purchase) and we will contact you once the replacement discs have been manufactured and are ready for shipment.

I am in a quandry. I bought 3 copies but have only received 2 replacement disks. Do I bother for the 3rd or let it slide?

Apologies if this has already been asked - but is this region locked to region A?

Received the replacement disc last week and just got round to watching it on my region b player. Took an age to read the disc so i just pressed the disc menu button and it started to play. Not sure if this will work on all players but was pleasantly surprised to be able to watch it. Only problem is this means my purchasing options have just increased to worldwide. Haven't decided if my reaction to this discovery is :ohno: or :oohyeah: yet!

So, is it safe to say I'm going to have an issue buying this no matter what?

Um, what sort of issue would you have about buying this SB - just get it. The movie itself is incredible when you see what Melies was able to achieve as a film maker in those days and the documentary is very enlightening too.

Now i really have to get a SB for Hugo too. Hope a W.Europe country/UK will issue one soon.

The missing track. I'm assuming there weren't say adjusted discs like with a different or updated UPC? I would order it, have an incorrect disc, need to gt a replacement right off the bat. Thats what I meant.

I see. Well the catalogue # FA0023 is the same for the replacement disc. Don't know what the UPC is for the original disc is as I havent opened the SB but I guess if you wanted to get this you would have to order the replacement disc if you really wanted to have it complete. Luckily mine was mailed to me without me having to pay the charge they are now imposing.

In any event, one missing soundtrack option shouldnt spoil your enjoyment in owning this SB/movie. Only concern is that if you wanted to sell it on at a later date it might be prudent to have the replacement disc to go with it.

Do we need to pay for shipping for the replacement discs? I just tried filling out the form but it says I need to pay $11 for shipping to Canada so the total is $15.95. :/

I think its sold out at flicker alley too. It errors out trying to add to cart. Tried it on other movies and they end up in cart.

Damn, I didn't think it would sell out so quickly. Just placed an order at PlanetAxel. I had a voucher and they offer free shipping for this, but I still paid over 30 euros. Now I can only hope that I will get the steelbook not regular case edition. :|

Now it's unavailable at PlanetAxel. My order was cancelled and refunded. :(

I received a very slightly damaged one from Amazon.com and can't even return it for a replacement now. Traded my only other one to Wreck. Don't really want a very slightly scratched one, but don't want to send it back either now. Guess, I'll have to keep it.
