Having received it yesterday, and with time to think, I don't mind it.
Sure, it could have been glossy (but with Disney/Marvel they rarely are), but the matte finish isn't bad. It's not streaky, and the central image isn't anywhere near as hard to see as some have made out. The debossed title is a nice touch (although to be expected) and it does have a nice feel to it. The back is really where it gets let down. I'm not a fan of embossing on the back of steelbooks anyway, but just having the Marvel logo is a bit pointless (same fate as Avengers Assemble/Age of Ultron double-pack). A group image would have been better, or the picture that's on the front of the regular amaray might have worked.
Overall, it's okay. There are certainly worse steelbooks out there, but no, it doesn't have any kind of 'wow' factor. The thing that actually bugs me the most is in regards to the discs. Why is there no 'play all' option? I hate returning to the menu every 45 minutes (it doesn't even highlight the next episode automatically). Also I don't need to see the FBI warning every time I select an episode or be reminded that 'piracy is not a victimless crime' one it's over.
Does Agents of SHIELD do this? I certainly hope it's sorted out by the time Daredevil and Jessica Jones come out. 'Play all' please Disney.
