Noticed on mine this morning now showing on spine as

(Disney Collection #13) not (Disney Collection #11)

Same for Robin Hood as now (Disney Collection #21)

The Jcard spines are correct

The Jcard spine says Classic 13

Disney Classics are numbered by release
With Snow White and the seven Dwarfs been number 1

Alice in Wonderland is Disney Classic number 13
Robin Hood is Disney Classic number 21

What you see on the spine is to do with Disney Classic Number

Its noting to do with Zavvi Disney Collection numbering which are not on any of the releases

If they are using the same method, then i will cancel my other zavvi orders, including Indiana jones.

I won't cancel. Why? Because someone else will just order it and it will still sell out. If I order and it comes damaged they HAVE to replace it for FREE. And then Zavvi will lose money and THAT'S how you get them to change their packaging, hit 'em where it hurts! Their wallets!

I rather risk ordering a product and it coming damaged than not being able to get it at all...because I can always get a refund from them. I don't want it to seem like I'm arguing with you bud because in the end EVERYONE would be more happy if they just updated their packaging

The cardboard mailers I got this and Robin Hood in were barely even sealed due to the tight fit, and there were gaps at the top edges of the mailer. It's just dumb luck if you receive this without damage.

Why do Zavvi have to make it such an ordeal to collect steelbooks?

came in cardboard. not damaged.

zavvi are having a laugh arent they. they have almost a complete monopoly on steelbooks in uk, and yet dont think to send out these 'collectibles' in suitable packaging. bizarre.

i might have to call it a day soon, its all getting out of hand

Nice steel..not as nice as Robin Hood but still very nice and a lot better than 80% of the other Disney steels zavvi have put out. :scat:

Exactly, people cancelling pre orders seems a bit childish to me. I'd rather risk it and probably get a great condition copy than not have the steelbook at all. Obviously I can't speak for everyone but at least half my steelbook are from zavvi and a third of those have came in the cardboard envelope and I've never had a slightly damaged one *knocks on wood* but maybe I'm just extremely lucky

I agree with your theory but when this process starts to happen every single time you purchase a steelbook from them it will grow very tiresome. Some people simply dont have the time to be going through 2-3 returns to assure a mint steelbook every time one gets released, nor should they have to.

Mine has come with a tiny dint on the back and a corner rim which feels like it was sanded. They are both really small and unnoticeable when on the shelf so I can deal with it. Nice steel overall! Hoping Robin Hood comes in one piece.

Arrived mint as did Robin Hood. Both very nice, kind of wish the embossment wasnt a bit random on Wonderland, but regardless, the steel has been worth the wait. :)

Seriously! Childish?? Why on earth is that childish? Maybe you meant to say something different? If I didn't live in the uk,( I, like others have said) would seriously consider cancelling as well.. I have bought probably over a hundred steelbooks from zavvi and have only had a couple of damaged items but their customer service was the worst I've personally encountered, and they can be quite stressfull to deal with and to me (even living in the uk, having less distance for the packages to travel and get possibly damaged in their inadequate packaging) have thought about cancelling. Its not childish to expect that spending £100.00 on the five upcoming (7th july )disney steelbooks that zavvi do the right thing and go back to the old packaging (or even improving on those white boxes) is not too much to ask cosidering the amount we all spend on them.. zavvi must know that those flimsy card mailers would be lucky to survive the postal service let alone the overseas journey. .its an insult by them, to us.. we're not talking about a £1.99 dvd, zavvi take in a lot of money from steelbooks so its up to them to ensure we receive them in mint condition.
Rant over
