Alien Abductions

I would like to think there is something else out there. But there is pro's and cons to it all. I mean there is like million other universe's so there has to be something else out there when you think about??? But then why have we not see anything or had contact?? it works 50/50 either way.

I think there might be something else out there, however, I don't believe that it's ever made it's way here and abducted someone.... I agree with JonD that those people are nuts
I agree with you there. look at it from our viewpoint. If we were the ones going to explore other lifeforms would we kidnap them against their will and do experiments on them. I l;ike to think no but you never know I guess. I just find it hard to believe that a more intelligent species would come to our planet and take us like that. I dunno.
LoL Hell yeh we would take them without no one knowing.. the govt would do it.
Like that baloon hoax? **** was proabably real and the govt didnt want you to know what it was so they hired some whack ass "wife swap" family actors and paid them off to claim it was their sham ... and yet America falls for it and belives it because the govt planned it. Made the little fake home video sent it to media the next day and called it a wrap! Hence why they never showed them opening the baloon when it landed ... looked like a UFO when it was flying like crazy eh?

I certainly believe that there are aliens out there. To think we're the ONLY thing in the vastness of space is a little ignorant. In my opinion... I mean it doesn't make sense, and I don't think Earth is that special (as far as being that unique)...
As for the abductions, i'm 50/50 on those. I have no proof, but the people that claim to be abducted often go through A LOT of crap from everyone but insist it happened.
Why would people do that to themselves? They don't get money or fame out of it... they just get mocked, yet they believe it happened to them with all their being... so I just don't know on that front.
The reason I bring this up, besides the fact that it's interesting, is that a new movie "The Fourth Kind" is coming out soon and I just wanted to see what you guys thought, and wondered if you were going to see it.

i saw the trailer for that before Paranormal Activity. Believe it or not, it looks pretty badass.
That's where I saw it, then I got a screening pass for it so I'll be seeing it in a couple days. I'll let you know what I think.
there has to be an insane amount of things to occur on a planet in order for life to even be a possibility. like, the statistics of it all are ridiculous. scientists don't even know how life started on THIS planet, so how do we expect to figure out if its possible on planets we have never even seen?
its funny, because when i was studying general bio, one of the pre-existing proofs for life to exist is that there was something living previously to the new thing's existence. so our scientific understanding of it all is that "life begets life." we have no idea how your first start life from a bunch of organic compounds.
having said that, from what i hear there are certainly lots of planets that are close enough to stars for there to be a possibility for the right conditions to occur for the planet to sustain life forms. i still think the odds are severely against it, but IF life does exist on another planet somewhere, its even insanely more unlikely that the life form is advanced as the human race.
if alien life exists they are probably bacteria, and i doubt that alien bacteria are going around abducting peoples.
but when it comes down to it, theres so little we really know about that kinda stuff...

What if the Aliens that are performing the probes are the convicted alien rapists and crimnals, and they were sent away in a prison and we are their new playmates?....Possible? 
Simple, if Aliens existed (I think they do) why the hell would they waste their time with us? We're insects compared to them, they could travel to distant galaxies in seconds and we been to the moon once. Does anybody care about ants and their goofyness?

i think its more like they were observing us and then found out we like tv shows like the hills, tyra banks, and housewives of atlanta, and then got the heck outta dodge! (or in this case, our galaxy

An alien could be as simple as a microorganism or bacteria that came from space. Also, we are alien to aliens, who's to say they wouldn't be interested in another form of life/species, seeing as they are intelligent and all. We would, and are trying, to do the same thing if we found a new form of life.
Alien abduction isn't too far fetched when you consider the size of space and the quantum possibilities that it entails. I'm almost positive the government would want to collect a specimen for study. I have a hard time visualizing an alien landing on the surface and saying, "Here, have some of my body parts, and let me have some of yours, so we can learn about each other." Any species humans get their hands on they dissect, it's part of our curious nature. So why is it hard to think an Alien wouldn't want to do the same thing?
I do think it's selfish to think the entire universe belongs soley to us, but I also think that if they haven't found us yet, maybe we don't want to be found. I'd like to be on the side that finds the aliens first so we can maintain the strategic upper hand... just in case.
