Why are they releasing them again if they're still in stock? Does not make sense!

I don't think they are releasing them again as such, it's probably just to tie in with the Alien Isolation video game that is released on October 7th.

I want to know if it's gloss or just the same Steelbook re-released. If it's the same, it makes no sense as to why it's up for pre-order.

From what I can work out, Zavvi are giving you a choice of any of the four Alien steelbooks when you pre-order Alien Isolation. I assume the pre-order status on the steelbooks is to match the pre-order on the game, and even though the steelbooks are listed as £14.99, I would have thought this will be removed in the checkout process. However, as I am not currently looking to buy the game we will have to see if someone else does to confirm this! As for the mysterious dual listing of Aliens, one gloss and one not, I suspect this is an administrative error (or cock-up, if you like) on Zavvi's part. I don't think I've ever seen that before

Oh man it'd be so awesome if they released it again but with it matching the other 3 films. I'm not too bothered about gloss finish in this instance, but the lack of embossing like the other 3 has always felt wrong.

Just a question regarding this "gloss" version that's on Zavvi. It's the same listing as the original version right? that was supposed to glossed but wasn't, so it's not actually gloss. And all the Alien Movies up for "pre order" I assume they are like that so they can be bulked together with a pre-order of Isolation? Apologies for repeating a question thats probably been asked a few times (i have flicked back some pages for clarification)

I was wondering the same. I'm 99% positive it's the same, obviously Zavvi don't want customers cancelling the pre-order and getting the Steelbook shipped for free hence the "pre-order". There are two listings up on Zavvi but I have ordered this as the other one is "Awaiting stock". So I'll confirm once received

I don't normally approve of re-releasing existing steelbooks, but with Aliens I'd make an exception as long as a re-release matched the others in the series. I would say add gloss - but then it still wouldn't match the others as they're matte.

It's not gloss as standard but as usual I've sprayed mine and the rest of he series the collection has bits in but the single is the after sanding finish I think this set would look good ideal when they are so cheap at the minute

Got alien and aliens about an hour before the 15% code was posted. Gutted but the code made me cave and buy 3 and resurrection to make the full set. Just wish I could find prometheus for a reasonable price

I HAVE to agree to all of this. Why isn't this one debossed and framed like the others???? Just doesn't make sence. The Taken one had the same issue, although, ok, grande not released on the same time, whatever, but these clearly are meant to be a collection. And it's not like we have a problem like with "Die Hard" (not all films are Fox) but this one I just can't understand it.
