Hey guys! Wanted to share this with my fellow US & Canada members.

I suppose some of our European members can benefit from this as well.

I think this is very news worthy for all us steelbook collectors, so it deserves it's own thread for now. :scat:

I just got an order in from amazon.de and I was very surprised at the SIZE
of the box that appeared, just for 6 steelbooks. Well, it appears that for any
NEW release, that they haven't packaged up yet or a catalog release that might be on backorder (like my order of Judge Dredd was), they have a new box. EEK! :oohyeah:

We all remember that the package had been improved recently to bubble wrap inside a foldover box. :movie:

Well, now there is a new box, frustration free packaging, SPECIFICALLY labeled for steelbooks / metal packaging. :drool:

I just wanted to commend Amazon UK for having the best customer support on the planet.

One of my steels arrived with a dent on the top, so I contacted their CS to see what to do about it. Talked to someone for a few minutes and a refund was processed. Now that's the type of support that'll keep me as an Amazon UK customer! Canada needs to step their game up, because that division of Amazon is pretty much infuriating to purchase from. I'll continue to use Amazon UK exclusively for my future purchases just as long as they have what I need.

Hey guys, for ones who ordered more than one steelbook from Amazon.DE, normally how do they ship? separate small boxes, or in one big box? Thanks in advance guys :)
Both :D

Most, if not all, of my multiple DE steelbook orders have been in a large box with the steels packed separately in the Amazon steelbook boxes inside that larger box.

I've got a problem with Amazon's websites right now. When I press the 'contact us' button on the help page, I usually get three options (email, call, chat), but now I just get a blank page with no footer. When clicking a feedback link after an email reply from cs there is only text, no star rating symbols or send button. Anyone got the same problem?

I was just having a problem using the UK's Contact Us as well. It wouldn't let me choose the Other Order button. I switched from Chrome browser to IE and everything worked fine then.
 
Never ordered from amazon.jp before but considering it for a few items. Anyone able to share whether they offer good customer service, how reliable packaging is, costs for delivery to the Uk etc? Thanks

Does anyone know what packaging Amazon UK are using for steels these days? I'd heard they'd switched over to the new, slimline steelbook boxes where the contents are secured by a polythene wrapper, but the last 2 steelbooks I ordered from them came loose in a box with no protection.
 
Hi all! I would like to know if there was any way to change the item quantity once an order has been placed on Amazon.de? I'm ordering an additional copy of Cloud Atlas on behalf of a friend, but might want to cancel my own copy closer to release, which I don't see an option to as of now. :ugh:

I bought Toy Story 3 from Amazon.de and the steel book was damaged and shrink was ripped, is anyone able to translate a complaint for me? The condition the steel came on was disgusting

Hey Scorp, I think you can email them in English. There is an option to do so in the drop down box in the 'Contact Us' form. ;)
