Yeah I know how you must feel to be very disappointed in not being able to get it since it was very limited.I feel for you.

Not sure I follow.

Those likely to be offended by a comment not in keeping with the general tone of the thread, don't click this spoiler:
As impressive as it is, and I'm naturally pleased for those who are pleased, this isn't something I would ever go for, or could ever justify paying that sort of money for. 3 copies of the same film takes overkill to whole new levels imo. If I had bought it, I'd likely be looking at it now, and simultaneously looking at my bank statements thinking 'why dafuq have I bought this?' Especially if it was just a sealed box that was going to stay sealed forever, gathering dust.
Big thanks to those who opened and posted pics! :)

The ode to a sealed collector ;)

Gorgeous packaging! Congrats to all tripack owners. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Anybody in Canada have received just the singles sent through k-packet?

I've had and held both the Blufans Star Trek tri-pack & Kimchidvd's Amelie Tri-pack...This surprisingly and by a long shot blows the Star Trek away by a mile.I never would've expected that.I mean Kimchidvd put this together in a very short time. The execution is exceptional.Just on the box holding the 3 steels together,This is quite impressive and makes the one from Blufans look "plain" in comparison. When I said the value of this box set would triple automatically upon release,I underestimated it quite frankly and being limited to only 300,this could easily be 4 or 5 times the value.I open EVERYTHING but after holding and staring at this beauty for a few seconds,I just couldn't get myself to tearing the wrapping around this gem. This is HEFTY.Almost 3 lbs! It feels really solid.
Could be the most impressive release from Kimchidvd to date and can't even think of another one coming close.
Nice sparkle effect on the stars as you change the angle of the box set and all of the lettering is embossed.

Eh, it's alright. After really Looking at it, the green and red just doesn't really go well together.

my 3-pack is waiting at the post office for me already, will pick it up tomorrow.
can't wait to see it with my own eyes.
no need to unwrap it at the moment, as i also have extra lentis B and C coming in.
i think either the spare C copy or the full slip from the tri-pack will be the one that will be opened.

There's no red on the box except the numbered sticker.Sorry for the lighting, that's just a reflection from the background.
This is a better shot with more emphasis on the embossing on the lettering and hologram sparkling effect of the mini stars on the box cover.

urbeen you don't have to answer stevo about his crazy color obsession. He is well beyond "troll" status talkin bout green in every single post in every single thread.

Anyway... this set looks absolutely positively spectacular. :oohyeah:

Very glad I ordered this. In fact, the whole release (including the individual steels) look 100% amazing. Kimchi has done it again. These type of releases are why I collect steelbooks.

It looks nice and all, but personally I don't care for the tri-pack as it really is 3 of the same steelbook in the end. Would've bought it when I had the chance and ordered my B+C for the magnets. However, wouldn't it be something if people could play nice so those who wanted it for their personal collection were able to obtain it on day one instead of on a third party site? Can only dream of such a utopia, but such is the life of a collector I guess!

Just my 2 cents worth!

I'm happy for those of you who ordered and like the individual steels and/or tri-pack, but seeing the actual pics have reinforced my decision to skip this release. There's nothing about these that appeal to me at all.

Congrats to those who like it though!

I only ordered the lenti and looking at this in hand is now one of my favorite steels! :scat:

It's the little touches Kimchi is doing that I really appreciate such as the sparkle effect. Man when the light hits that slip it's awesome looking.

I'm also digging Kimchi's evolution of their stickers to denote the numbers, this one continues the fantastic look the stickers are starting to have. Now if only I get a reprint of the Thor sticker to read #8 instead of #9 that will be sweet! I think this is the fastest I got K-packet to Texas also!
