My customs charged me for 38£...

Congrats but £38 EEK! that is a lot, EMS or K-packet? merchandise or gift? and did you have on package given real value or lower?

My K-packet package with B version (which i only want) arrived in last week and no customs charge, but in the past when I used EMS option my packages always stick in customs longer, but fortunately there was no charge. Now I only use K-packet option, no problems with customs and package arrived in about 6 days, faster then more expensive EMS :)

I wasn't thinking during this Amelie Hunting, and chose EMS. I have taken package for the value of 220 USD, that is why customs put their dirty paws on this. In case of other factors -> mechandise and real value.

Gift option costs something more? Is it anit-custom thing?:)

Well no surprise there got a letter from parcelforce today to pay £25 on my copy. Well 20 days from now it's heading right back, not paying £25 for an item that only cost me £17 to begin with.

And to add insult to injury I just ordered basic steelbook and not any of the special ones.

EMS and 220$ so it's all clear, but with this total value of purchases it would be too risky to send it by K-packet - do not return the money in event of loss. But you could have done 3 separate orders and used K-packet, select on order "merchandise" (it is more credible I think) and whish to mark on every package total value about 15-20$ on custom slips and invoices. That's what I'm doing lately and so far I have no problems with customs, and this will not cost you anything more you just must select this options when you place an order ;)

Thanks for sharing. Now i will be smarter. I thought i was smart back then, to combine interesting items from kimchi with this one shipment. Customs were ahead of me :(

I always go for the cheaper option (I mean who's in a rush for a steelbook!) but if I ordered something online, and I didn't receive it - I'd request replacement or refund and if the company didn't oblige then I'd contact my CC company for a chargeback. It's then up to the company to prove it was delivered. A customer should never be out of pocket due to non-delivery of goods, and credit cards have built-in protection for this exact reason.
