I can understand if the slipcover was something special like a lenticular cover, or the Canadian AGE OF ADELINE, but for the majority of movies, the SteelBook is better.

correct.

however for this release, I genuinely wish I'd kept the ameray/slip than wait and faff for the steelbook.

My local record store has this for €8. Should I bite?

It's a funny one this. Although not many here seemed to go for it (and the ones that did, the feedback doesn't sound too good either!) it sort of made a quiet exit from zavvi and now you don't see much of them around........

I'm thinking of picking it up the next time I'm in. It doesn't look the worst to me. Especially for €8 and at least it's glossy!

I've already picked up Silver Linings Playbook in there too for the same price.
