Hi,

Thank you for pre-ordering the Anchorman 2 SteelBook with the Entertainment Store.

We have received advanced copies of the product and have noticed that through the manufacturing process there has been a small amount of stretching on the corners of the SteelBook. We have been assured by the manufacturer of the SteelBook, Scanavo, that this is a manufacturing trait associated with the high gloss finished that has been used. Please see link below for an image of the stretching.

Whilst this is a manufacturing trait we do appreciate that for some customers this could potentially be a problem. We are contacting you ahead of shipping the product to highlight this trait to give you the opportunity to change your mind on your order before we ship you the product.

We will of course accept all returns and provide a full refund if you are unsatisfied with the product once your receive it in line with our standard terms and conditions.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive Steelbook release: Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

This 2 blu-ray disc set features not only the UK theatrical cut (longer than the US theatrical cut) but also the “alternate jokes” cut which was released in cinemas on 14th February, plus bags of extras – it’s kind of a big deal.

Artwork and finish details:

• World Exclusive Artwork (WEA)
• Full gloss finish
• Embossed title treatment (front)
• Embossed Ron Burgundy (back)*
• Limited to 4,000 copies

I find it very strange that they have allowed zavvi to have this now. I hope ES is not stopping exclusives as we will only be stuck with zavvi, I want other companies to get more exclusives not hand away the ones they've got :/

Nothing strange about it, it's already been explained on here, ES only had this as an exclusive for a short time, it's happened before on many titles the hobbit, despicable me 2 being 2 of them, if ES had priced this at £19.99 it may have sold out long ago and they wouldnt have lost it

I refused to pay GBP 25.99 and missed it at GBP 11.99 and am now about to order the Zavvi at GBP 12.99 and was wondering if anybody with the Zavvi in hand would be kind enough to let me know if it is the same 2 disc release as the E.S. apart from missing the E.S. sticker I presume.

Its the exact same steelbook 2 Discs
The only difference is it don't have the exclusive ES sticker

The exclusive deal ended with ES and was then made available to Zavvi to sell by the film studio
Most exclusives have a time period and when that period of time has elapsed the film studio can make if any stock still available to other retailers if they wish to do so

Damn. I thought I got a good deal when the price came down to a tenner at ES. There now seems to be a competition for who can sell this the cheapest on Amazon. £4.28!!

Not wishing to sound cynical, but the sellers on Amazon are selling these worryingly cheap, with some of them being posted from what seem to be overseas addresses. Not knowing how they'll be packaged give me cause for concern, also, will they be mint copies?

That seems to be the lowest price I've ever seen for steelbooks in their online store.

At least Withnail and I, Bourne Legacy, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Princess Bride, Argo, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy have been available at the same price point.

Most in flash sales, but Bourne Legacy was £4.99 for best part of April 2014.
