Special announcement, April 15 2014
hey guys, official announcement from ES.

Hi,

Thank you for pre-ordering the Anchorman 2 SteelBook with the Entertainment Store.

We have received advanced copies of the product and have noticed that through the manufacturing process there has been a small amount of stretching on the corners of the SteelBook. We have been assured by the manufacturer of the SteelBook, Scanavo, that this is a manufacturing trait associated with the high gloss finished that has been used. Please see link below for an image of the stretching.

Whilst this is a manufacturing trait we do appreciate that for some customers this could potentially be a problem. We are contacting you ahead of shipping the product to highlight this trait to give you the opportunity to change your mind on your order before we ship you the product.

We will of course accept all returns and provide a full refund if you are unsatisfied with the product once your receive it in line with our standard terms and conditions.

Thank you for your custom,

The Entertainment Store

£26.

twenty. six. pounds.

are you serious ES. ///are/// ///you/// ///serious///

was that extra pound really necessary. what was wrong with £25. Zavvi's Frozen has 2D AND 3D and is £25 and that's ///just about/// justifiable (never thought I'd defend zavvi's prices omg).

just. what.

Let's be honest, for a mass-produced disc-based media item, nothing over £20 is really justifiable. It's a single movie. One. For nearly thirty pounds.

I've very nearly had enough of this. We're the only ones to blame too.

I think we should all pre-order it and then cancel the day before release, you know for ***** and giggles, just like the price :)

And judging by ES tactics in the past, they will charge a week or two before release and we all be fuming, best not to order ;)

Maybe ES should ship this to Asia, stick a shiny little sticker on it and everyone on the thread will be happy and lap it up? ;)
Yes but those asia steelbooks have a limited print run 500-2000 max! Thats why ES didnt get this much criticism for pricing for their Jackass steelbook, but with a 4000 printrun, man they must be pushing it to see how desperate collectors can be!!!

Yes they do if you don't include the other 2000 copies reserved for general release ;)

ES def take the piss with some of the prices they do on steels, should be no more than £18.99, so what its embossed back and front, most steels are embossed these days, and a sticker doesn't do anything for me at all, only gd thing about it is that its gloss, until they get their pricing sorted out I won't be buying from them

Holy Cheesy Fried Potato Skins, Batman!

Only 2 of these puppies would be over $100 for the group buy to the US! EEK!

It looks nice but dayyumm.

hmmm isn't this one the talking point, nice steel nice finish but £26 worth if included a 3d disc you could be talking around that price but it doesn't.

I'm goona hold off on this one for the price drop imho tb fair it should be £19.99 no more.
es want to be careful they may just piss a few people off with that sort of price.

basil :movie:

Pricing it like Rush, The world's end, Kick-ass 2 would have been acceptable but this is just pushing it a little bit to far. Filth is £17.99 with bossing front and back.

A lot of anger at ES in here!

Didn't we already establish that the studios are setting the prices on these exclusives and the retailer is just selling them? I know ES don't have to release it but it only then goes to the next retailer.

The price is what it is. Studio is the one to blame here though :(

I guess the real test is whether it sells or not.
