My point is that it would be a dream come true if all those retailers in the world (Future Shop, Play, MM and others...) would consider shipping worldwide! I know there are restrictions for rights management but still... a collector can dream!

So any guesses on what will be the first US G2 steelbook out of this factory?

If end of summer is the target date for when we should begin seeing products my guess would have to be Hunger Games, hands down. March 23 release date...4-5 month turn around until Blu-ray, the timing would be good.

The Avengers would be a good second. I think Dark Knight Rises might release too late to be a first release.

They're opening a Steelbook factory in the US, so in theory, we should get our own exclusives and not have to import as much. Along with that, we should be saving tons of money in the long run in shipping fees and stuff like that.

The US has only produced G1 (DVD sized steels). They are finally going to be able to make G2 (blu ray sized steels) at the end of the summer. MOst people prefer the G2 size!

Yep, up until now we have been forced to import which usually costs a lot more. Hopefully this closes the gap of expenditures and whatnot.

I would say its good news for everyone. More so North America, ie. USA/CA/MX

but ... there are tons of USA collectors and stores abundant ... it shouldnt be hard for international people getting USA stuff. So more options all around.

I would have said The Avengers but as it's Disney they use the Viva cases. I think Dark Knight Rises might release too late to be a first release.
