The spine is screwed up on mine. It is misaligned, so the Marvel logo at the top is over to the right edge and the 1st vertical row of dots/holes is almost cut off. Shambles quality control here....

Not looking forward to receiving this in the next day or so due to the misaligned spine as seen on your copy.
Wondering about your plan of action though - whether you will just keep it, hunt down a suitable slipcover or return it for a replacement with the hope that the next one will be better laid out ?

Yep - just received mine today, and the spine looks like that as well! email to Zavvi time!

The Misaligned spine may be quite common I'm afraid, I know 4 people locally who have received Misaligned spines on this release.....
...make that another!

According to their website, it's still showing as 'sold out' so they won't be able to send a replacement even if you try. Although we all know what Zavvi "sold out" really means, but are you prepared to take the chance? I once returned an item when it was still showing in stock, but by the time they received it, they had sold out, so didn't have any more to send me a replacement. Unlike more customer-focussed websites I could mention, they DON'T put a copy aside for you (or even send the replacement BEFORE you return the original), so you are just in their incompetent hands all the time!

What I propose to do is email them, as they always offer a discount initially anyway, so will probably just settle for that. It's the very least they can do when you are paying a price for a supposedly 'premium' product!

Id be fine with a wonky spine... At least you have yours, mine is still 'processing' and has been since Thursday, I wouldn't complain but it's been on preorder for 5 months.....

If I remember correctly the only other metal packaging suffering from a severe attack of the chicken-pox is the very attractive steelpack/metalpak/futurepak for "500 Days of Summer" which is absolutely covered with dots and with some on the spine too . . . though at least that one does have a title  (pic to follow)
Anyway, regarding this one, I'd say that any design, even if wonky on a percentage of the print run, is BETTER THAN A BLANK SPINE though I see no reason why this could not have had a picture spine like several others including the lovely "Inside Out" if WWA doesn't allow for a title.

I was going to send this back as mine has slight damage but seeing as it's sold out I won't get a replacement even though they say I will. Did this with guardians.
