Amazon.fr never lists them as steelbooks, as far as I have seen anyway

amazon.fr tend to confuse people. I ordered a few from them and it turn out to be plastic casing but the picture shown as steelbook. I.E. Bangkok Dangerous, Casino, Pulp Fiction and Saving Private Ryan.

yea with amazon.fr its like playing lottery - either you get lucky or not. The problem is they stock both in there warehouses and they just reach up and get which everone is in reach at that time- and there support really sucks - no reponse and "i dont care " attitude.
Well this is the first time I deal with amazon.fr and probably the last. After receiving 8 to be steelbook and 6 out of 8 were plastic casing. I cancelled the rest of my ordered like Apocalypto, Laader 49, The Passion of the Christ and Gran Torino.
Like you said Amazon.fr is like playing lottery and definitely this lottery is way too expensive for me to play with. After I got burn, I figured I should post here and warn the rest about amazon.fr

I've never order from Amazon.fr for the same reason. I am not sure what other store you can order from. Maybe mams can share some light on that?
Unfortunately all the sites I know do make no difference between conventional boxes and steelbooks.
Fnac is more reliable if it is marked "boitier metal". But the safest is to buy directly in the store, which does not help foreign collectors.
That said, we believe at 99% "Apocalypto" and "Passion of the Christ" will emerge only as steelbooks, at least at the beginning.
Problem is the same with "Green zone" which will be released on august 31st. Everywhere the pictures show a steelbook, but there's no more information (I've ordered mine from amazon.fr...)

Passion of the Christ, Apocalypto and "Indigènes" (can't remeber the english title for this one) won't be released as steelboks. Only plastic cases !

By the way, I will receive a package from Amazon.fr (today or tomorrow) with Apocalypto + The passion of the Christ (+ La Rafle)... I'm pretty sure it will be plastic cases
