Saw it Twice already

...I would recommend to stay away from Trailers or reviews, to watch it without knowing anything, without expectations ;)

i would recommend to stay away from trailers or reviews of ALL movies until you've watched it. that's what i do. haven't watched a single trailer before seeing a movie in probably 10 years at least. i show up 15 min after movie start time to miss all theater trailers. :smug:

when i pop a blu ray in... i'll hit the skip button multiple times to get past all trailers.

why?

because trailers suck. :joy: straight up. they ruin the experience nearly every time. once i was free of previews, i enjoyed most movies a lot more.

I agree very much and it is what I do, Trailers shows all the best part in 2 minutes, for the Trailers in the theater I must look like a weirdo lol I block my ears with my fingers and put my head down lol :wacky::wacky::wacky: I guess now with the reserve seats maybe it is what I should do but I haven't gone to the theater in a year.
I save my money for purchasing blu-rays and our collectibles. But I stay away from everything, maybe the only time I will read a plot is if I don't know anything about the movie and doesn't seem to interest me, I will read the description on IMDB but I read diagonally. I enjoy movie as well much more going in without any expectations.

Or, alternatively, you could skip the full movies and only watch trailers. :)

Just kidding. I agree with you about the trailers. It's getting to the point where after 10-15 minutes of trailers in the theater, I feel almost dirty and violated by having to sit through garbage that I didn't choose. Why should I have to watch a trailer for Assassin's Creed when I paid to see Arrival?

I ultimately judge a movie by my adrenaline scale factor. Have you ever had a movie give you the goose pimples - (the bumps on a person's skin at the base of body hairs which may involuntarily develop when a person is cold or experiences strong emotions such as fear, euphoria or sexual arousal)
Anyway if you've ever gotten it during a movie, then you know you're experiencing something special. This movie gave me none whatsoever...sorry.
Amy Adams is one of my favs.
For example, the last movie that gave me an adrenaline rush was Don't Breathe.

I had that feeling of a rush during Arrival when the big twist was revealed. Or, at least, when I figured it out. It was that "eureka!" feeling mixed with intense sadness because of the implications. What a great movie.

  • Thanks
Reactions: Veronica Mars

Can you @urbeenjammin indicate to us one or better several (at least 3, preferably) movies that did give you "goosebumps"? Also can you say if any of those movies produced same (or similar) effect at the second or more times re-watch?

Soooo...FA is showing CZK 1099 now. Is this a "sold out increased rate" or is this the actual price? :(
