Ask me anything! I live in Dubai...

What cars do the police use ?

The Dubai Police Force has recently acquired a few luxury and high-performance vehicles (which include a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, a Ferrari FF, a Chevrolet Camaro SS, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Bentley Continental GT, a limited edition Aston Martin One-77, Ford Mustang GT, a BMW M6 Gran Coupé, a Brabus G63 AMG, a Bugatti Veyron, an Audi R8, a Nissan GT-R, Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG and a McLaren MP4-12C) which are to be used for patrolling tourist areas.

General duties and patrols are carried by Chevrolet, Toyota and Nissan vehicles.

Thanks for this chance Apollon I am curious about the fact that Women do not drive in your country. Is it due to culture or status ? as in sometimes blokes get a bit jittery IF thay are not in the drivers seat.

Ok let's get one thing out of the way, I'm a resident not a national, my country is Lebanon. :emb:

Second, you must be confusing the UAE with Saudi Arabia, women drive in Dubai all the time, no different than men :D

Apollon, Good Luck with opening this thread!
Now people will start asking you if you live in a tent, ride a camel to work, oil well in your back yard etc etc.
I got all sorts of questions when I went to study in Boston USA in early 90's

Id like you to really give me your personal opionen - do women drive REALLY no different then Men :) ?

Secondly , what brought you to Dubai as a Resident? If it is too personal my friend you do not have to answer it.

Thirdly , why is the shipping cost soooooo expensive there :) ?

Take care
John

3 questions? OMG how am I going to tackle all those? :p

1- Yes, no different in terms of rights and so on and so forth, if you mean the quality of driving, well there are douchebags in both genders :hilarious:

2- My work did. Been traveling the world since 1998 (Asia, Africa and Europe, I mention continents as this way the list is shorter than naming the 20+ countries I've been to). Settled in Dubai for the time being as it's closest to my home country Lebanon and work's good :emb:

3- Probably for the same reason Canadian post is so expensive... LOL. In all seriousness though, not sure really...
