I dont know how long I will do this, or if people have questions ... but I'll check this thread daily in case people have questions about steelbooks etc. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability from what I am allowed to say in some cases or just info you may not have seen me drop before in past threads.

Didn't "Attack The Block" use glow in the dark?

I don't think so and it doesn't look like it from the pictures here

The Play.com exclusive slipcase did have a glow in the dark effect

Hey Wreck, can you tell us more on how the 1st hdn exclusive got made ?
Did you buy leftover stock from Zavvi, send it to some company to get it repackaged with the hdn J card, or is this a separate print run ?

Just curious, but I understand it if you can't disclose to much details

Have any SteelBooks been released with the glow-in-the-dark finish yet?

The obvious release to use this with would, of course, be the Alien films, although it would also be put to good use for Tim Burton's "9" (2009)

He is right on all accounts. Frighteners has a cool GITD slip in DE too.

Not sure, but I'm sure if they are using same art the qty would be higher. Esp if USA were to get on board. HMV did stuff at like 50k and couldnt move through all the qty ... but funny enough USA has the power of selling out stuff at MUCH more than that. Without USA ... who knows maybe 200k world-wide.

Zavvi got an exclusive for UK so I'm anxious to see their art as I'm hoping they got something different then the global.

But in any way, is it possible to include more information in the the announcement posts of new steelbooks?
Specifically I'm asking for information about the languages a new movie in a steelbook will have. With the waves and waves of future zavvi releases, that are often sold out very quickly, I usually have to cancel ordering, since I don't know if these releases will contain e.g. German audio. For me that would be fine, but if I want to watch movies with friends I should know what languages will await me

Unfortunately most often the times we know about languages or subs is after release. Even when some retailers state it has 2 languages on a product page many times we've found the title to have 5 or 8 etc. There is just a huge problem in regards to reliable info on languages and subs the world over! Problem happens in every Country and studio. Universal studios tho have a good track record of including tons of audio tracks tho. That's probably only the safest bet there is. (on their blockbuster titles)

It would be nice however if we possibly started including such info "AFTER" release.

Your guess is as good as mine. Comic book movies are always the least secure from reprints, being the most popular. However for the most part the powers that be have respected us ... Play and Me went to bat when that IM was actually supposed to be identical to FS. Ofcourse you'd think no one would ever totally copy those Play's because the inside art snafu. ;p

Lincoln's been out in the US since March 26th and the Europe releases are scheduled between May 24th (Germany) and June 10th (UK) so there' very little time left for one to appear

I guess if there was a Lincoln SB it would have to be up for pre-order already
