Accidentally had this sent to my home address instead of work, which means it'll undoubtedly take longer to arrive (despite being all of 0.3 miles away from each other, it always seems to take a day longer for anything to get delivered to my house compared to work).

Film was released in 1997, the so called "20th anniversary" is just 2 years early.
Maybe Zavvi have a time machine and have gotten confused about which year it is currently. :p

Nah I think Zavvi are from an alternate reality where Austin Powers came out in 1995 and was about someone trying to rob a bank. Also in this alternate dimension Terminator 2 was an animated movie by Pixar and in Saw the guy had to saw his arm off not his leg...

No, seriously, retailers are pretty good with anniversary releases though I imagine it's not their fault if the dates are 'off ' sometimes and I suppose it's the studios that decide when an Anniversary Edition steelbook is released ?
A few random anniversary steelbook examples are:-

50TH ANNIVERSARY: 'The Sound of Music' 1965 ---------------- released May 2015
'Goldfinger' 1964 ------------------------------released Sep 2014
'Psycho' 1960 --------------------------------- released Aug 2010

40TH ANNIVERSARY: 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' 1974 --- released Nov 2014

35TH ANNIVERSARY: 'Halloween' 1978 -------------------------------- released Oct 2013

30TH ANNIVERSARY: 'This is Spinal Tap' 1984 ---------------------- released March 2014
'Flash Gordon' 1980 --------------------------- released Aug 2010
'Blade Runner' 1982 --------------------------- released Nov 2012

25TH ANNIVERSARY: 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure' 1989 - released Mch 2014

20TH ANNIVERSARY: 'Stargate' 1994 ------------------------------------ released Apr 2014
'Apollo 13' 1995 ---------------------------------- released Jne 2015
'Speed' 1994 -------------------------------------- released May 2014
'Leon' 1994 ---------------------------------------- released Feb 2014

Some examples of near and not so near steelbook misses are:-

'Jurassic Park' 1993 ----------------- released May 2015 (20TH?)
'Austin Powers . . .' 1997 ----------- released 2015 (20TH?)
'Pulp Fiction' 1994 ------------------- released 2011 (20TH?)
'The Usual Suspects' 1995 -------- released Nov 2014 (20TH)
'Thelma and Louise' 1991 --------- released Nov 2014 (20TH?)
'Enter The Dragon' 1973 ---------- released Dec 2014 (40TH?)

Talking about the steelbook.
The Steelbook is the 2007 Blu-ray its not the 40th anniversary Blu-ray and its not adverstised as the 40th anniversary edition its just a steelbook release

Enter the Dragon 1973
The 40th Anniversary Blu-ray was released in the UK July 2013 and June 2013 USA

Lots of films get a release or re releases in a steelbook but are not a anniversary release unless its listed as such

Jurassic Park Steelbook is also not a 20th anniversary release its just a steelbook release

When you see a steelbook getting a release unless it clearly states its an anniversary release its just a re release of an existing Blu-ray or older Blu-ray version in a steelbook case

My reply was about enter the dragon and other films not Austin Powers
He listed a bunch of steelbooks that he thought were anniversary releases but are simply just Steelbook releases and have no connection to been a anniversary edition

These Steelbooks/ FuturePak listed below in the spoiler are not anniversary releases they are just a steelbook release of a previous Blu-ray release with some using even older blu-ray disc in the steelbook
Jurassic Park' 1993 ----------------- released May 2015 (20TH?)
'Pulp Fiction' 1994 ------------------- released 2011 (20TH?)
'The Usual Suspects' 1995 -------- released Nov 2014 (20TH) (FuturePak)
'Thelma and Louise' 1991 --------- released Nov 2014 (20TH?) (FuturePak)
'Enter The Dragon' 1973 ---------- released Dec 2014 (40TH?)
'Gladiator' 2000 ---------------------- released Sep 2009 (10TH?)
'Saw' 2004 ---------------------------- released Oct 2015 (10TH?)

I never thought that all of the above were 'Anniversary releases' as such because it clearly does not state that on the packaging and that's why there were not in the top part of my post.

The point I was trying to make is that steelbooks/futurepaks/tins released AROUND THE TIME of what would be considered an anniversary SHOULD have all the bells and whistles of an anniversary release including the latest discs, all the extras available and miscellaneous tat like posters and artcards.

These anniversary releases should be released in steelbooks and not in cheap plastic cases.

Surely the only people who would argue against that are those people with zero interest in the packaging of their Blu-rays or in steelbooks.

Take 'Enter The Dragon' - why release this in a plastic case on its 40th anniversary with a nice new shiny disc and not in a steelbook?
Doesn't make any sense to me UNLESS the reason for releasing a steelbook of this a year after the anniversary edition with the old disc inside is a way of shifting old stock???

The same applies to all of the others listed in the second part of my original post which do not have "Anniversary Edition" spread across the front in big letters .

Any photos of this?
Not yet
My order was only posted on Saturday 20th so I should have delivery by Friday or Monday
I would say someone in the UK will have delivery by tomorrow and just a matter of them posting some photos

I will post photos but will most likely not be until Friday or Monday

If I'm lucky this might turn up tomorrow, in which case I'll happily post pics tomorrow evening (assuming no one else has done by that point).
