On this beautiful Saturday morning, after going to the theater (to watch
Beauty and the Beast, which btw was quite alright and it'd make for a great steelbook), I went in my FNAC store to buy one of the three FNAC exclusive digibooks released last week (
The Darjeeling Limited,
Full Monty and
Sideways).
I was holding
The Darjeeling Limited in my hand, ready to go to checkout, until I glanced at the 3D portion of the Blu-ray section, and surprise : it was filled with lenticulars I had not seen before !
— There were 5
Rio lenticulars, that one wasn't new as I bought it there 2 months ago along with the
Ice Age 4 lenticular. Those two +
Titanic were the only ones of this wave available over the past 2 months in my FNAC store (and only 2-3 of each displayed in early January).
— Today there weren't any
Ice Age 4 lenticulars, but the other 5 steelbooks of this wave were there : at least 5
Life of Pi, 5
Prometheus and 6
Titanic (and 5
Rio, as I said above).
— And only 1
Avatar was displayed, and it is mine now !
This is pretty great :
The worst part is I just paid €29.99 for a film I'm not even a big fan of : great visuals, great special effects, great score, great 3D, but the story is so dumb, like it was pulled from a cartoon for kids about ecology.
But it's a great steelbook and above all it's a lenticular, so it didn't take me long to buy it.
