Honestly, I think any GB allocation should be limited to 2 copies or less for any edition of this release, and it should be stated up front.

Group buys are meant to help those folks that want a copy, get one...they were never really meant for multiple copy requests. (IE - every edition).

But, I'm not running the group buy. :)

Yes I agree with you, I'm on the gb for this, got on a few pages into the gb thread, I ordered 1x lenticular, and now people are saying some might not even get what they asked for cos of the very limited stock, it would be a good idea to cap it to one per person in situations like this, so I'm hoping for news before this goes live as to whether or not my copy is secured, that way I'll have a chance to order direct if I'm not on the gb after all.

These numbers are so limited after allocated stock if filled, I wonder how many of each type is actually available on the day.. This will be gone in a matter of seconds I'm sure :OMG:

There's no word on the print run for 1-click copies.

This worries me as I wanted to get them all. Noway I can accomplish this by adding each individual item to cart. They will be soldout too soon.

Personally, I think there should only be one way to get a steelbook. Group buy (such as blufans) or you buy direct. Allowing people to cop multiple copies doesn't seem fair to me. Not to mention that the thrill of the checkout makes the steelbook feel that little bit more special when its in hand.

It depends on how the group buy host wants to run their group buy. But when I did the PLAIN ZDT group buy, I requested that some members show me that they had no outstanding orders with PLAIN and they really did miss out.

But again, this all goes back to the retailer. If you don't like their practices, either don't buy their items, or give them an earful via our dedicated retailer thread or send a direct message to them in some other medium (e-mail, facebook, etc).

The game is rigged to ensure a sell out of all product. ;)

Yeah that makes sense. My problem isn't with group buys themselves, they've really allowed me and countless others to grab some gorgeous releases. Its just certain people who ruin the game. I'm always one of the first to check out, hopefully this release won't be any different. Just for people with slower broadband/computers, I hope they don't miss out so others can have multiple copies.

I don't mind Group Buys when its a release that can be ordered from a retailer that ships worldwide
But if possible it should be known to members how many copies are available and be limited from the start so not to affect the ability of customers who order direct
NovaMedia should say to the Group Buy host this is the max amount of stock we will allow for your group buy and this then informed to members what is possible from a Group Buy before requests are made to a group buy

Lot of people have requested copies on these Group Buys the numbers are huge and I cant see NovaMedia providing this amount of stock if they do so then its going to be near to impossible to order direct

The available stock for International Customers is only 2,500
85% of the 2,500 should be for customers to order direct

That's the problem with Nova - they ask the GB host only a couple of days before the release is about to go-live. In my past experience, they would never let us reserve a certain amount of copies before then. And even at that point, if one were to say, I have this many orders, then you have to wait another day for them to respond with how many copies you can have (if it's different).

I think it's very reasonable to say to members here, I have 40 copies reserved, and then allow people to join based on that assumption. And give people time to find the thread, and request a copy. But that needs to happen in advance of the Nova sale, potentially weeks before.

The alternative is to wait until they tell you how many copies you can have, and then post a thread. But that puts an awful lot of stress on the GB host at that point as it's last minute.

Anyway, we're off track again, so I'll mention it here as well - let's try and limit the GB talk and the problem with the retailer practices to our retailer thread or other spots than the current release.

Thanks

Yes 12pm (lunch time) for the UK.

People are saying have I made the cut - this hasn't happened yet so any idea why they're asking?

Will this go on sale straight from nova media website?
Yes it will be available to order from NovaMedia International Website 12pm (lunch time) UK time
Problem is the print run is only 2,500 for International Customers

The Total Print run is 5,000
2,500 for Local Korea Customers
2,500 for International Customers

The day this goes live you will have
1)Print Run 2,500
Nova Korean Website taking orders only for Local Korea Customers

2)Print Run 2,500
Nova International Website taking orders for Worldwide Customers

International Print Run
Full Slips
A 500
B 500
C 500
Lenti 1,000
One Click Order
The 3 Full Slips A/B/C and Lenti in one order
As soon as any Individual version is sold out the one click will be sold out

With Group Buys and Resellers already been allocated stock from the 5,000 the print run for both Local and International is already reduced before any online orders are attempted when it goes live

You will need to make sure have your account set up with NovaMedia days in advance and active
You will need to make sure you have logged into your NovaMedia account at least 1 hour before Avengers pre order goes live

You will need speed and lots of luck getting to checkout and completing payment
You can expect all stock be sold out in a few min and most likely in 1 min

This is not for the faint hearted be prepared for possible site crash or find your cart has emptied before you get to payment due to been sold out before you get to complete your order
Only when you get an order confirmation can you relax

As it's off topic I'll be quick, I didn't know that some companies only give the gb host such a short time notice on how many units they can pre secure, that gives the gb host extra stress that is clearly avoidable, gb hosts put so much time and energy into the gb's for us, and get the extra headache of having to let members down on quantity's because they were not giving prior warning about how much stock they will be allocated. I feel for them, I appreciated gb hosts before, and now.. Even more so:notworthy:. Thanks for the insight:thumbs:

Damn, I'm gonna be at work when this goes live (n):( Well, please don't let me down my dear Nexus 5 + LTE :ohno:
John's GB is already over 300 posts so no point in even requesting there :sour:
