I contacted Nova and told them about my steelbook being really scratched, asked them if they had any replacements available, he replied super fast and asked for pics, I sent pics this morning and he replied straight away to say a replacement case will be sent out:notworthy::drool:. I really wasn't expecting a replacement to be available so I am so so so happy right now. :oohyeah::oohyeah::woot:

Last night I was looking at the lenti and steel displayed on my shelf, they really do look amazing, pure quality!! Nova have been great dealing with my previous orders and this problem I had with the scratches (minus the bad server's, and messing gb hosts about of course.. lol:bag:)

I am glad they sorted you out. They are spot on with aftersales service, which is a big bonus. Nothing like spending your money, but then seeing how much it was worth it, when you look back at your display (I can imagine you stood next to it, leaning left and right for the lenti effect!) For that amount of money, you want it to be perfect (as it should be ;) )

Thanks @Apollon and @PKAVFC

I'd never contacted them before, and knowing they have little man power behind the scenes, I wasn't sure if I would get a reply, but they were so fast, and so helpful, they've made me very happy. it's such a great package so I was very disappointed by the state of the back, this is one of those releases that you want your copy to be as near to perfect as it can get, and like you said, it's a good chunk of change so you do want the best (as possible), wish I could have afforded the whole set but I'll cherish this release, lucky to have it in my growing marvel collection :oohyeah:

It's my most anticipated release this year :) and in typical fashion, I'm still waiting mine! :hilarious:

Any day now

I bet you were stressing out at the time, but now you can have a nice Sunday and not have the steelbook Blues!

You know you have bitten by the Asian SteelBug... There is no antidote but spending £££! :hilarious:

Lol, definitely got the bug, this hobby gets more expensive by the day, but these Asian releases are worth it, no more blues for me, Nova have stepped up and I'm very greatful:drool: I wasn't expecting mine to turn up so quickly via k packet, John wick was about 7-8 days and I thought that was fast.. And no customs, got a dispatch for big Hero 6 too:oohyeah::oohyeah:
I hope yours arrive soon, which editions are you in for, or did you go with the one click? As this is your most anticipated steel so far this year, you're not going to be disappointed, as the lenti package goes, I only have one very slight complaint, on the little lenti card that came inside the steelbook, the characters in the background were a bit of a blur(their faces) but that is a tiny thing and nothing I'm concerned about, was just surprised because of the quality of the rest of the package(plus I may be the only one that thinks that, as I haven't seen anyone else mention it) .. Overall, It's bloody beautiful.. It's one of my favourite steels now:cigar: I'm excited for you that you have yet to experience the unpacking of your steel.. Any day now and it will be on your doorstep:oohyeah::oohyeah::woot::drool::cigar:

One Click!! - just come off bread and water diet to cover the cost! :hilarious: I think I can live with a not so good lenti card. The Zavvi Avengers Assemble I have here is just plain terrible. I mean, why even attempt a Lenti if that's your best shot at it?! Back on topic.... I am hoping the precious is here in the next few days. Your right, the postage has been lightening fast. I think that is down to BH6 coming out very soon after Avengers release.

I cant wait to unroll my 500 metre strip of bubble wrap :)

They are one of the few retailers that keep spare empty steelbooks for replacement of damaged copies. I think Blufans is the other. This way they can sort it out even if the whole package is sold out. This really should be standard practice among all retailers (Zavvi and Kimchi are you listening?)

@harry @chunk the waiting is killing me everybody's got them but me it seems :banghead: ...but they are amazing, I had a scratched copy of edge of tomorrow once I unsealed it, and they send me an empty replacement case wrapped in so much soft bubble wrap copy was perfect, just changed the disks and the j-card and my copy was flawless... they really care about their customers...

@chunk @PKAVFC @StifflersDad

that leaves me to wonder, to those who keep their steel sealed, as I cannot imagine to open one yet desperately want to crack one open, but lets just say a collector as many do keep whatever copies they got sealed, now that we know that scratched steel can happen, doesn't it drive you a bit bonkers to wonder if steels are perfect or not ? looking at mt Drive one click, 1/4 slip from what I can see is perfect but both other versions now just wondering...but yet I can't break open a 1-click of Drive ??? :OMG: (even dipped in a second fullslip and it is so beautiful that I couldn't get the heart to open the copy I got to open it)...same with avengers, (if ever if gets here :arghh:) ...but how can I get to open a copy, can't break a 1-click :wow:

I know they are pretty great with quality control but if we hear about scratched steels, that is a worry an OCD collector could wonder...I thought that every copy was thoroughly inspected before inserted into the package... as film arena does, they inspect each steel though the shrink wrap(they have no j-card) and if there is the slightest sign of damage they discard the steel and select another perfect one to put in the full slip...I envt=y those who open them without a second though and actually get to enjoy their steel, I enjoy them, all sealed up what's wrong with me

I guess I should stop worry about this and continue worry as they are not here yet :ohno: (for those who didn't receive them yet, am I just the only one or other find the wait stressful as well ???)

I do understand your dilemma! I found with John Wick, I opened the 1/4 slip as it was not numbered... But the AV collection all have numbers! If your going to crack one open, the Lenti would make the more sense, as opening one full slip leads to opening the other 2.

I collect Asian steels and keep sealed for the most part. UK/US steels I usually open.

I never buy to sell on either, I just prefer it that way. It does make you wonder what lies beneath, but that will drive you crazy!

I respect both sets of collecters, open or keep em sealed.. I am a little bit of both :)

Yes I started doing so, for the Blufans that I had double dipped some title I did open the 2nd copy (Up Boxset, Frozen, KFP 1 & 2) and was really impressed especially with KFP steels are insane and Frozen as well... I tend also to keep my Asian Steels sealed, but John wick 1/4 you got an unnumbered edition ? that isn't right... I only got 1 fullslip and it was numbered so this is weird.

Me too I am a bit more flexible in opening my CA/US/UK steels...

Me neither no matter how much I dip into a release it is for me not for reselling, but yes wondering what lies beneath as you say can drive you kinda crazy.

I guess I should stop worry about that, and scratched steels are usually not the norm so, but still stressed out that it isn't here yet, next time I am using EMS, not worth the stress of k-paket.

and @chunk I so agree this is the release of the year !!! (please don't say @charleybusko I said so he will hurt me I think :ohno:)

the waiting is really killing me !

Don't stress buddy, I am in the same boat as you, ours should be here early next week :)

The stress for me was getting the order confirmed in the first place... Knowing it was just a waiting game was a relief :)

Yeah John Wick Nova 1/4 was unnumbered, limited to 200 copies. Got numbered Lenti anf Full Slip.

K Packet works for me- EMS would be Parcel Force here in the UK = customs charges!

All in all, just try to still enjoy the hobby. All good things...

sorry about your unnumbered John wick, this must have sucked (wondering now if rumours of domestic versions being not numbered are true ?)

Yes I do enjoy the Hobby and usually I am ok, but this is THE release and I don't know why I am just stressed the He## out :wow: ...hearing about almost everybody got theirs, I think we might be the 2 last ones who didn't get theirs

but yes people have said k-paket is safe just takes longer so I guess I'll just have to try to unwind but this isn't easy

Yes having the order confirmed and shipped was stressful also, I dunno why I am a stress ball...relaxed yesterday watching Ex_Machina but waking up and now realizing have to wait and monday is a holiday so no freakin' mail

Remember, it's on it's way ;) I do understand though... Maybe I get more mellow as I get older! :) I think Asian releases gave me no other option but to be patient :hilarious:

As for John Wick 1/4, none of them were numbered as per Nova listing - made it all the easy to open.

Have some beer buddy :woot:
