God I hope so! I had a bit of money trouble a while back and had to sell a massive part of my collection, and was gutted to sell Iron man 1 & 2.

If they keep the lenti trend, that would be really good!

This is a Marvel Release that's very popular when you have that they always sell out
With 4,000 to 5,000 print run its was expected to sell out fast

You can expect though customers cancelling some orders
If anyone ordered more than 5
Zavvi can and will most likely will cancel those orders if more than 5 ordered

Closer to release date you can also expect cancellations due to payment problems and these been made available before or after this happens

Why would Zavvi cancel orders of 10 plus? It's not like they care that more people should have a copy. Do they have form for this as I've never known it to happen.

It's in their Terms & Conditions. If they have the slightest belief you are buying to re-sell they cancel orders. And normally it's if you order over 5 copies at a time. Although that can be bypassed with multiple accounts.

And if you look on eBay right now ... people are already selling their 'pre-order slots' for £50+ ... i've got a few of them in my watch list to see if any one buys them at that price point.

A reminder folks, use something called tact: if you ordered more than one copy, keep that to yourself, some people might have missed out and didn't even manage to order a single copy so it isn't really nice to rub it in. Thanks for your cooperation.

I think it's Zavvi Sold Out (which means it will be back in stock at some point)

'Zavvi Sold Out' is pretty much the same as any other companies 'Sold Out'. Kimchi have a similar system and nobody really complains. The difference is the majority of people keep their Kimchi pre-orders whereas people are constantly cancelling Zavvi orders because they change their mind, decide to cut down on Steelbooks, Zavvi have peeved them in some way etc.

My question is why would they mark it as sold out when they wouldn't have any problems moving more copies in the next day or so. It's not like they're driving up demand for it, the demand is already there.

I'm not saying I believe it's sold out, I'm just saying, I think they sold out of their allocated amount and once cancellations and duplicate/canceled orders are processed it will be back in stock. I don't think it's some conspiracy or anything like that.

The answer to that question is that they wouldn't. As you say there is no need to create hype for a title like this, marking it as 'Sold Out' when it is not would probably do more to harm sales than improve them.

I expect it to go on sale again. I bet they sold through 1/4 of their stock. I am betting 4000 or more copies just sold.

There are always cancellations so it will be available again. The suggestion that Zavvi have sold four thousand copies now and are saving another twelve thousand (or more) for a rainy day is completely ludicrous though.

Fair enough, glad to hear that although it didn't help me get a GOTGS or CA:WS when they sold out. Never even got a sniff.

I didn't bite because I am sure the Blufans will blow this out of the water and I already have the Viva and Play Avengers. I have no more room for all these Triple dips. It's ridiculous lately.

A year ago I would have jumped on this one as soon as it went live. Fortunately Zavvi's crap customer service seem to have cured my steelbook addiction. £25 for a steelbook edition of a film I'm not really that interested in? £20 would have been a fair price for this one.

Most of the Asian Steels even the regular releases are priced $38 to $42 before shipping and there seems to be no complaints about the pricing

I don't think it's really that expensive as the 3d amaray version is still over £21 on zavvi
