I can see both sides of this, going from the photo provided this lenti sits within the border (firstly that is a shame i wish they had gone for a full size lenti to cover the whole steel, would have been better!)
now the issues hopefully it is just the angle with the camera as pauloband says so when i have it in hand paul is provided right

but at the moment the following are problems in this picture
1.hawks bow and can double imaged
2.next to hawks arm is like a tank cannon firing with flame at the end that is also on edge of steel next to tyre on edge.
3.above hulks right sholder is 2 buildings the first one being on the outside top left corner of the steel
4. tony stark tower on lenti is good bit out of alignment with top of the steel again.
5. above captain americas shield is empire state looking building again out of alignment with steel.
6.thors shoulder and arm well out again.

can't consider bottom as a slip is covering that.

i will reserve judgement atm but my thoughts currently are this the lenti was thought of first and then resized to fit inside said border. hopefully my thoughts will be provided to be completely wrong and pauloband is spot on and peoples unrest proved foundless.
guess well all find out in next few days!

personally i like the steel and whatever happens will be keeping this but i can see why alot are getting upset if this all proves to be correct as would seem to be a mish mash if proved all out of alignment.

I don't think anyone has this or the pirate films in hand nor is it a zavvi/disney employee chances ares some has emailed Zavvi asking for an in hand photo, when nightmare before Christmas came out I emailed Zavvi asking what the rear artwork looked like and they sent me over a photo of the rear

Not a bad attempt at all......Some minor issues ( there have been worse ) but overall, looking quite good and unique.

The ebay seller in question DOES have these in hand. The background which he photographs most of his listings is exactly the same as these steelbooks (a gold/beige silk type material). If this was different then it would likely be borrowed from elsewhere, but not in this case.

That is the old release date & Zavvi do not update the release date on your order page.

Most likely the date has been removed as it is now in the past and released, I wouldn't be suprised if they start shipping today.

I like the look of it, and i actually prefer lenti magnets that fit into the border - perfect mix of magnet and steelbook.
But i think it takes a few more pics of the steels - best would've been a front-shot.

But besides that... Zavvi f***ed it up again..
Why can't they just stick to what they announce?
- Pushing and pulling the release date back and forth,
- stating a release date on the product site - which suddenly disappears - and
- showing a dispatch date in everyones personal order history, that doesn't even update when something changes.

Zavvi - get your **** straight.

The original date was 30th May, and Zavvi don't change dates in your order history when things change. Having said that, I've still had no charge for this, and we know these are out there....

There are way bigger (r)e-tailers out there that are indeed able to handle the pre-order dates proberly (ever heard of Amazon? ). Steelbooks are no different to any other products that have a pre-order date, just because Zavvi throws them out like i don't know what shouldn't be an excuse for f***ing up the information-flow towards us - the customers.

They either use a ****** system and/or their employees are *insertrandomabusehere*, which both is not good for the customers..

I was being sarcastic lol. I've had Amazon and been their prime member since day 1, they do an excellent job at improving and providing cs but Zavii is a whole different beast. They sent me a steelbook and since their packaging was a joke, it arrived as if an elephant stepped on it, then a rhino sat on it and then a semi truck ran over it over and over and over, long story short, took about 2 weeks and 8 emails for a replacement.

Regarding your story - AT LEAST YOU GOT AN REPLACEMENT lol
Heard it more than often that Zavvi tries to feed you with voucher/gift codes for 10-20% off of your next purchase lol - how would that replace a destroyed - possible OOP/OOS - steelbook?!

I guess we should not get too deep into this again, wasted time..

And let's not forget what this thread primarely is for - a kick-ass steelbook!

..which is obviously the only reason i stick with Zavvi atm
