Aw man, it suffers from the dreaded 'double vision' edges like the German Hansel & Gretel and Star Trek lentis etc.... (If you look, Thor's got 2 shoulders, Hawkeye has 2 bows sticking out....)

Great. :banghead: It's something small but it bugs me.

Why couldn't they make the lenti artwork blend in as normal like most normal lentis?

Going for the Nova now instead.

yh i can see that to. I wonder how easily visible it will be to see from a distance. Cancelled my copy last week as wanted to see an in hand pic first. Still prefer the Nova artwork personally but this would have been perfect if not for the double vision.

Heres hoping everyone gets theirs mint and zavvi dont have problem with the lenticulars.

Wondering if there is any debossing on the back logo?

They should have gone all out and this should have been their anniversary special IMO. Not a rehash of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

i agree but novamedia's lone survivor lenti magnet was the same and it got overwhelming praise. if everyone praised that but complains about this well that's not exactly balanced critique then.

Hmmm, think I'm tempted to cancel now.

It would be my third copy of it (have the US Viva and German versions) and after seeing the fact that it's suffering from double vison, I don't really see the point of the lenti.

I'm not speaking for everyone (and Lone Survivor) I'm just pointing out that it's a personal bug bear of mine and it really annoys me. I've passed on other lentis because of it.

To me it looks ridiculous when you've an image that's shrunken down inside a lenti and gives a double exposure look.

The Lenti should just be an extension of the cover art and it should all blend in seamlessly. I have plenty of lenti steelbooks like that.

I'm sure others will think it's the best lenti ever. It's down to personal choice.

I know it's Zavvis first one so I'll wait until I have it in hand to decide if I keep it or not.

Don't go by photos with a lenticular

When you take a photo the image can look off due to the fact it's a moving image
When taking the photos the lenticular image can be different with each photo depending on the angle

As this is a lenticular each slight moment will give different transition of the image

Also as its a Lenticular magnet cover it can be removed and positioned differently

I downloaded a bigger photo from the listing

Looks OK
I would though like to see it proper as in unsealed
Hopefully it should be shipped this week

I'm Disappointed it is not a full lenticular magnet. My custom one is better...

If you look closely at the picture, it does seem to be a full lenticular with a 1/4 slip covering the bottom. Needless to say, the magnet doesn't perfectly match the background image of the steelbook. That is, when aligning the magnet on top of the steelbook, the image should flow continuously from the magnet to the steelbook without a "double image" (see Thor's arm on the right side: it shows perfectly fine on the magnet, and then on the steelbook itself, you see it again.

CANCELLED.

...but if the actual image on the lenticular is larger or smaller than the image behind it will never line up correctly (which is totally the case based on that pic from ebay) it

Nope it is not a full lenticular magnet. A full would cover the entire front of the steelbook. This one nests within the embossed boarder.

This is the Lenticular Magnet

The Border will most likely be for embossing on the steelbook
As its a Lenticular Magnet its removable

It moves from left to right so photos will catch whatever the movement is when taking the photo
Another photo can show it differently depending on the angle

Ahh, understand what you mean ... I just thought from top to bottom, but yes, needs to be stretched from side to side as well to be a FULL cover. Oh well, one less steelbook on order now!
