just looked on amazon,co.uk and they are also getting Avengers assemble steelbook, no release date or price up yet

So not only are HMV releasing mainly rubbish exclusives but the only good one is now not exclusive? Great.
 
My guess is it will probably be a totally different steelbook to HMV's (different artwork). Or at least, that's what I hope!
 
I've also ordered this and the German release, although I think I'll be cancelling the HMV one, it just seems boring compared to every other avengers steel that has more than one disc
 
I thought the 3D sucked on this like Thor and Captain America. This 3D gimmick is getting tiresome. I would prefer a set with bonus features as it at least gives a nice insight into the movie.

The 3d isn't great on those movies because they were post production conversions.

True 3D, such as that seen in Avatar and Underworld: Awakening looks fabulous and really helps immerse you in the world of the movie.

Sadly there are lots of companies chipping in with cheap conversions, which spoils the rep of 3D a bit. Done properly, it looks terrific.

I'm generally not a big fan of 3D and the avengers was the first 3D film I watched at the cinema and you're right, it really didn't help 3D at all. The only time I got a sense of it was the black widow fight scene at the beginning. After that there was nothing
