Easily done.

Lets say the packer gets 50 boxes to open. He listens to Whitney Houston on his iPod and uses his stanley knife. All of a sudden... BOOM!!!! slashed every spine in the box.

Whistles quietly, and doesnt say a word.

Easily done i say.

Youre probably right. They should be made to pay for each one they damage though.

You should, just out of principal.

Do you not have a store close to you?

Yeah it's fairly close but they make a point of not replacing items without a receipt. If I do it online it will take so long to get another copy, I can live with it as this is the first time i've had a problem with this.

i erm work for amazon :emb: and it is easy to slash the spines on dvds when opening boxes....BUT.....the manufacturers should use better packaging when sending them to the warehouses honestly there flimsy shi%^Y boxes with no protection at all the odd few decent companys put a layer of cardboard under the top to prevent you from scratching the dvds when opening with a knife

Thanks for the insider info waccy :D

Just got my copies through the post, both in excellent condition. Sorry to hear about others who got damaged steels, you would think they would make an effort with the packaging (sealing) and take extra care. They know how big this release is because they put a 3 per customer limit on this steel. I opened one just to make sure my 'watch' copy is not damaged under the J-Card, no damages.

BTW I didnt know the disc would be Region Free, pleasant surprise.

At least the postman's been so have my copies. Seem to be OK, although they went a little wild on shrink on one copy and it seems to have 2 copies' worth !!

btw has anyone compared the actual disc to any of the other releases ??

Think you're on the wrong board. Do everyone a favour and sling it.

EDIT - looks like the post I replied to has been deleted, so ignore above comment. :D

If I order something from online I expect it to be in mint condition no with knife marks on it.

And, I thought this forum was about steelbooks which also includes such issues. Yeah it's not the end of the world but its all about open discussion.
